I went out with a new bunch of guys and they were pushing me to try out their bikes and honestly it was a game changer. I've tried a sherco fse 300, a KTM 350 and the crf450r (waaaaayyyy too much power lol) ... My favourite one has been the 300 and my friends selling it but I just can't warrant dumping £5k I've been looking up these bikes as I think a 250 would be a nice balance. Don't get me wrong I make the 125 fly for what it is but having enough power to put the front wheel where you want it is a game changer!
I wanted to do a review like this of a trailriding perspective of my wr125 ut I sold it before I had chance. Lots of people tend to say bikes are amazing for trails but dont actually ride any trails that are more technical. Its surprising what the kurz has been through and how well it has held up itll be interesting to see how long it is before it needs a top end or anything like that. Good video mike.
nayr h19 thanks very much bud, yeah I’m pleasantly surprised too. I’ve worked all over Africa and have seen these engines a lot and they just keep going no matter what is thrown at them. You can buy a brand new one for about £500 so that may be an option if it goes bang
I have the 2022 KURZ it’s about a year old now it’s not bad l like the sound of it it working well l have it in West Africa l have gone through a couple of clutch cables l changed the spark plugs 2 times with in the year l have just had a leaking rear shock absorber not sure why so l decided to send for a new factory 489mm rear shock until l get correct seals to fix the issue Not sure why this one started leaking so early with in a year questionable Just got a new chain x link Tyers And the new nibbi pe30 race carburetor l am just about to change this week over the holidays What is good about this bike is parts l can send for from DBracing and get with in a week for uk to west Africa through a private service to the Country It’s true about the spokes they do become loose I charge the oil regularly here in the dry air n dusty roads along with cleaning the air filter The chain l had to adjust nearly every week so now l have a new chain l hope to see improvement I feel l could change the sprocket to a smaller maybe to get more speed on the straight traveling from A to B on that 10 mile stretch

Thanks bud - I will measure the seat height for you when I’m next at the bike but it will be a few weeks as away on holiday. Weight is around 120kg I think. There is a FB page for these bikes so jump on there and ask the questions - the chaps will respond real quick
Have got a 10 ten 250 love it loads of fun had it about 3 months so was wondering do you no the valve clearances on these bikes as I have always done all my pit bikes or general maintenance
Nice update mate. I just bought one. I see you only have headlight and tail light. You ever get any stick for not having speedo and indicators? Not 100% sure on what's required for it to be road legal!
Thanks for the comment Adam - yeah horses for courses and 6k on mine now in the lanes and still going strong - engine is billet proof but lots of soft bits that I’m slowly replacing
zongshen are actually a very reputable engine brand they make some of the best single pots on the market so even though this is a remake of and old honda design id bet the reliability is fairly decent.

I service after every three rides which is about 300 miles but that’s because of what I use the bike for - green laning, so quite a harsh environment. I’m not sure on the manufacturers recommendation though - maybe in the manual (which I don’t have)
Hi bud, yeah I’ve seen a few people convert to supermoto wheels etc - not sure of the performance on track though - maybe with better jetting and gearing
@@MrAnonimowo with knobbly tyres on I don’t do more than 50 as my teeth would fall out but maybe with road tyres you could do 70 but not sure if the brakes are good enough to stop you at that speed 🤣

If you buy it new from Db racing you get a pack to fill.you details In send it off cost bout 80.00 and then you get a new reg etc take a few weeks tho to sort out

what the approx top speed of your fs250 mine is only doing just over 50mph and it take about 12 seconds to get their
Never measured as don’t have a speedo bud but I reckon 50ish before it starts to vibrate my teeth 😁

No speedo as standard but easy retrofit - kick easy enough but never use it as electric never missed a beat
