@@ADVlife287 every 3000km valve check I think according to Yamaha service manual . I have a crf250r 09 and valves are f-ing nightmare. (Always out of spec lol)
For the same price get a second hand T700 that will do everything you are brave enough to do on it. The WR250f is a weekend bike but now day’s all the bikes are looking the same and talking about same old same old, every bike will do what you want it to so get one that you are happy with and can ride well you will have more fun 👍👍
@Jared Cassidy I absolutely think these are a better value. I know the Austrian bikes are all the rage right now but Yamaha is as solid as they come with a huge dealer Network and the entry-level price is lower. This bike or the yz250fx are absolutely top drawer motorcycles
@@goneridingparts right on...I ride a 92 KDX250 currently. It was a thousand bucks. I wanted to see if I would still enjoy riding now that I'm middle aged. Yep, still love it. Now I'm ready for e-start and fuel injection.

$15k here and gas gas 300ec $1500 more both are road legal here in Australia. I’m still not sure which to get 2021 gas gas or the current wr250f. I need to do some more homework asap
@@dpayne8611 That's what I think, it's hell of a fun to ride a 2 stroke but you'll only ride for 1 hour max bc of gas consumption and the maintenance is another thing you have to deal with.
It's a rip off this bike gets robbed on the US version, from what I've read, the communication module and the programmable ECU are Missing, nearly a 1K in cost to get it up to what the YZ250FX comes with. No idea why they do this ?
Wait what? Are u for real? Thats crazy by Yamaha.. All this is included and 6 months warrenty on the EU (Swedish) market. Aint buying a shit EU bike ever again, ive had Husqvarna, KTM, Husaberg. Always something wrong with em but not a single problem with my KX and YZ and ive had my KX for 7 years
I have an older WR, 2005. I put an aftermarket carb and exhaust. It may be old, but rips just the same.
Full Akro, Power Flow Kit & Springs for weight, then try and remove the smile.. best bike I have owned so far!
We got one Saturday definitely everything they hyped it up to be!!!! My older son has a 2020 yz450fx and even he said this bike is perfect!
What's the spec for oil/air and valve maintenance? Seriously looking to get one of these.
@@ADVlife287 we change the oil on all our bikes at 10 hour intervals

I had an 04 and it ripped
Nice review mate thanks
Coming from a wr250r dual sport would this be a good level up or should I go a bit further?
This will be much more capable off-road. And you have the option of upgrading the ECU. These are very very good woods bikes

The 250f will destroy the R version. I have a friend who has the 250R, and he tried my 250F.. His response was basically "wow!".
I'm looking for a bike I can follow my young children around at 5mph in the heat, then rip with my friends on the trails. Can this bike do that?
Yes, absolute best bike for that.

Wr250 or yz250fx?
Oh this place is so coooool.
I bought one and connected the bike to my phone, it was so much fun I just played on my phone all day. What a croc of shit.
Can you send me the maps for it?
So is the WR pretty comparable to the yz250fx?
Super comparable
Whats the difference?
@@ferider8728 It's a bit heavier.
Is it not a xc bike is a gp style

It's over weight. Period. 255lbs or 115.2kg. Too heavy for serious enduro. This is more or less a better trail bike than the TTR series.
