Today's recipe is one of my favorites - and I'm sure it will be a big hit in your family, too!
We'll put together the most amazing weight loss, cancer-preventing, diabetes-reversing soup, and it's called a cruciferous soup!
And you all know how I love the term cruciferous because it's a reminder of the crucifix which is in these cruciferous vegetables. Just as God brings healing to us spiritually these foods bring healing to us physically.
So let's get started in making this healthy cruciferous soup recipe!
Cruciferous vegetables are highly nutritious and offer a variety of health benefits. Here are some reasons why they are considered good for you:
1. Nutrient-Rich
Cruciferous vegetables are rich in essential nutrients such as vitamins (especially vitamin C, vitamin K, and several B vitamins), minerals (including potassium, calcium, and magnesium), and fiber.
2. Antioxidants
These vegetables contain various antioxidants, including beta-carotene and flavonoids, which help protect cells from oxidative stress and inflammation
3. Cancer-Fighting
Cruciferous vegetables are renowned for their potential cancer-fighting properties. They contain compounds like glucosinolates, which can be converted into bioactive compounds like sulforaphane. Studies suggest that these compounds may have protective effects against certain types of cancer.
4. Anti-Inflammatory
The antioxidants and other compounds in cruciferous vegetables contribute to their anti-inflammatory properties. Chronic inflammation is linked to various health issues, so consuming anti-inflammatory foods can be beneficial.
5. Heart Health
cruciferous benefits
Cruciferous vegetables may help promote heart health by contributing to lower cholesterol levels. The fiber, potassium, and antioxidants in these vegetables support cardiovascular well-being.
6. Gut Health
The fiber content in cruciferous vegetables aids in digestion and promotes a healthy gut. This can contribute to regular bowel movements and may help prevent constipation.
Remember - this is going to be really good if you want to lose weight, if you want to be cancer preventative, if you want to lower any risks with diabetes... You name it, and it's going to do that for you because it's just the perfect soup

Yummy. Sounds like a great soup for incorporating in the Daniel fast, which I am going to start January 1st, 2024. Thanks, Annette, for sharing this delicious and healthy soup. Gods blessings 🙏

On a different subject. I am wondering if you have any suggestions on incorporating Ayurvedic practices along with what you have suggested?
This would be nice to freeze in quart bags . Thanks
Yes, definitely
Freezing in qt zip locs is my favorite way to have soup on hand. 💗
Hello Annette Reeder ❤❤❤
Good morning!
Do you have any tutorial videos on how to can this kind of soup and what all would be needed for the process?
I personally would water bath can this.
The more alkaline with the least ground derrived minerals(many people don't realize that the body can't process mined minerls), the better healing the recipe can be💯 (using produce derrived minerals is the safest way for the body to process the plants minerals) also, good work keeping the recipe cooking oil free since cooking oils are the most inflamatory ingredient known to recipes. May God bless you, thank you for this great recipe
Can smell the goodness through the screen! That supermarket with fresh veggies on ice looks like a great place to shop. So many places are really beginning to limit their veggies behind glass 🥲Beautiful drive for you through those lovely trees too... Just wondering...no spices added to this at all?
Behind glass??
@@mrsevergreentree Yes, here they have many veggies in bags and plastic containers and they've added these glassed refrigerated units(for Cold but not frozen foods). I think they feel they'll extend shelf life? but it just makes the stocker's job harder and adds more electrical costs to the business which they then pass to consumer's cost. Also the older model open refrigerator shelving seems easier to keep clean
@@aspenriverrun gotcha.. haven't seen it.. than for explaining
❤❤❤❤
I made a similar soup this weekend and I had a big bowl yesterday and it gave me sick bad IG issues. I think it was the lentils. Usually I don’t have those and I’m fine. I guess maybe leave those out?
This means you need enzymes to metabolize.
Find digestive enzymes to take with any meal with first bite.
I have two companies on my website of what I tshe

Just wondering if you have any thoughts on what to eat to remain healthy and cancer free from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Also to detox from Chemotherapy.
It is the same as if you had cancer!
We teach three principles and follow them daily!
Eat the foods God called good
Eat these foods close to his creation
No addictions
I was recently diagnosed with ocular melanoma and can this help me?
Love the soup , but hesitant about the tomato, as it is said tomato causes inflammation, what's on this matter.
I thought the same- planning to sub with vegetable broth, while adding healthy herbs and spices combating inflammation.
The substitution idea will work. Tomatoes are from our creator and He never fails.
how long do you cook it? i didn't hear you say
Till flavors combine.
@@TheBiblicalNutritionist doesn't tell me a thing :(. Sorry to have bothered you
for me not clear the ingriedents
Is there no butter, oil or cream in the soup?
No, the beans make a natural cream when using the immersion blender
@@TheBiblicalNutritionist Thanks for replying so quickly. I look forward to following the recipe. It looks great. A hearty health, nourishing soup is much appreciated in winter.
Is it too late if you have cancer to make and eat the cruciferous soup.
In my opinion no, in fact eating the right foods can help fight cancer.
I too am healing from cancer currently. I don’t know if it’s gone yet or not, I find out in a month. I think it’s never too late or early to start eating healthy nutritious foods.
I eat sprouts on a daily basis, they have about 10 times or more nutrients in them the fully grown vegetable. Very good for cancer prevention and treatment.
@@Blueskies1180 Thank you for your info I will try the cruciferous soup because you are right it is never too late to eat healthy
It's never too late...I battled stage 4 endometrial cancer in 2020. My kids put me on cruciferous meals, they tried feeding me everything organic, wiped out sugar from intake, drank my supplements and by the Grace of God I'm alive and well. To God be ALL the Glory and Honor...Amen 🙏🕊️♥️
Can leftovers be frozen. I’m alone
Yes!!!
Make a big pot of soup and freeze portions in glass (say a standard jam jar) for future use. NEVER fill jars to the top. ALWAYS leave at least one and a half inches below lid as liquids expand slightly in the freezing process. Leave out of freezer overnight and you have a quick meal for next day. Make freezer work for you to cut back on cooking times whick saves both your energy and cooking costs. God bless you.
Make sure to NOT USE glass jars with "shoulders"; in other words, completely structured straight up and down - like a drinking glass.
