Would also like to know how you get along outside when it is raining and if you’ve had any issues we should be aware of pls?
Are those mid drives completely sealed to keep out the weather, it’s not totally clear form the clip?
@@Onealmightypod Motor is completely sealed, I've had not problems with rainy weather and this motor. I'd be more concerned about the display getting wet.

My bafang bbshd does comes with the connector for a gear sensor. Does my mid drive motors would it still works without getting the gear sensor application. I mean can I just zip tied the wire connector on my bike frame not having the gear sensor or do I need to purchase it in order for the motor to turn on.

I want to put a rohloff xl on my biktrix juggernaut fs which already has a shift sensor. Will the rohloff shifter work with the bafang shift sensor?

Hi, can the sensor be fitted at the shifter/lever end?
I’m having a hard hard time getting the cable to push through. Would a small amount of some sort of lubricant help? Would it alter the performance of the sensor if I put a small dab of grease on the cable to get it to slide through? Also, there are two screws on the sensor … is it possible to temporarily open up the sensor, feed the cable through and then close the sensor housing?
any suggestions of neater or hidden location for the shift sensor install?
Well done tutorial as usual, thanks. Question; What brand/type frame is the bike you're using as an example? I didn't realize there are frames out there that are built specifically for the BBSHD. Isn't it prone to overheating since it's isolated in the small enclosure?
This bike is made by BTN. The frame is actually quite common, used on several different brands of bikes, some that cost 2x as much as what I sell them for... I have not experienced any overheating issues.
@@Area13ebikes I just found the same bike @ Walmart for the same price ($2,399) EXCEPT... it doesn't come with quality fenders, lights or a rack and the battery is much smaller!!! (11.6ah vs. your 15.6ah)

Most newer versions of the motor already have a cable for the shift sensor and do not need a Y connector.
What do those cable ferrules do? Are they necessary or beneficial with the sensor?

Sir what model is that shift sensor??? I happen to ask this bcoz i just bought the same model of that ebike and i do not have that shift sensor but when i check on the website of Eunorau it states on its feature under the category of GEAR SHIFTING : Shimano it says + gear sensor but mine does not have it. Please help so i will not make mistake buying it. Thanx and have a great day.

How is the process different when installing Up by the shifter?
The included instruction sheet says it can be mounted closer to the shifter, which is what I opted to do on a customer's bike because it looked cleaner. The process is the same.

Hey Bolton. Question: Does it matter which way the cable is threaded thru the sensor? Can the cable go thru the sensor with the signal cable exiting toward the front of the tricycle (recumbent) or MUST the signal cable point towards the rear derailleur? Hope this makes sense. Please advise. Thanks.
Hello Bolton Ebikes thanks for the video, how should I ride the bike if I don't have gear shifter? Is there any shortcuts like using handlebar breaks to stop the motor and then shift or stop pedaling and then shift?
Some people gently press the brake using it as a clutch when changing gears. The brake sensor cuts the motor.
