Really great video. However, after many, many years as a mechanic, lose the jewelry. Even when working on simple things, like a bicycle, jewelry can cause you great injury. You've only got 2 hands and ten fingers and it takes only one mistake to get jewelry caught in the works and that includes bikes. Please save yourself from future grief and remove the ring and watch BEFORE it is removed for you.
Hello, great video, but I would like to ask if you connected the sensor to the yellow wiring that comes from the engine, it doesn't look good. On my sensor, when connected to the installation from the engine, no indicator light comes on greetings
I’m having a hard hard time getting the cable to push through. Would a small amount of some sort of lubricant help? Would it alter the performance of the sensor if I put a small dab of grease on the cable to get it to slide through? Also, there are two screws on the sensor … is it possible to temporarily open up the sensor, feed the cable through and then close the sensor housing?
I used some super glue on the end of the cable to keep it from fraying and eventually got it through but it was no where nearly as easy as depicted here. I must have just been lucky to get the hard one
Nice video. Just what I needed, i learned shift sensor can mount anywhere on cable housing not just by shifter & that cable ends can be reused.
Great video. Suggest you cut Zip ties at "right angles" to eliminate sharp edge left to cut you later.

Which splitter did you mean ?
Yes shifter work on BBSHD too.
No splitter but some older unit didn't have the gear shift sensor connector
Splitter or Y cable is for installing in the front by the brakes.
