Besan is made from chana daal. A besan chilla is definitely quicker, because the batter will be made directly from a powder (besan).
Thanks for this nice recipe! 😊 It's a staple in many households. 🙏
But it's healthy than it
Does it tastes similar?
No it's different taste
It is moong dal not chana dal
Moong dal is easier to digest than besan
Better than pakoda... healthy
Yum, that look delicious
Nice.. looks delicious

Best to soak for 3-4 hours before using.

Soak for at least 3 hours or overnight.
PLZ HELP..Why does my chilla taste bitter?
I am guessing the besan/gram flour might be old.
These chillas are difficult to make. They remain uncooked from inside if not spread paper thin.
Make the batter thinner. That can help to spread thinner and cook faster.
@@PipingPotCurry I make them a lot. Every time they turn out different and they're not as easy to make as they seem. But they're very healthy so I eat them often nonetheless.
Which pan are you using ??
I am using hexclad pan in the video, but this pan works even better for chilla (aff) - amzn.to/3U4iPmJ
Kya ham pehle moong dal ko powder form me lakr usse bana de ??
I have not tried with moong dal powder. But I feel it could work well.
@@PipingPotCurry Okayyy
If you soak daal you can wash it before soaking. But if you make powder the daal is unwashed unless you wash, dry in air or tawa , cool it and then powder it.

Can we use moong daal powder..??
I have not tried with moong dal powder, so cannot say if it will work perfectly.
Acha taste bt roti type ni bna , wt to add inside to hold the better , it was sticking to pan
I suggest to use a non-stick pan for this recipe. Make sure to heat it well, and then pour the batter.

My chillas are always undercooked no matter how long I cook them for plus they always stick to the pan😢
Heat the tawa then lower the flame, spread oil on tawa then put batter (not too much) cook on low medium flame. Nahi chipkega and don't add any ingredients after grinding the dal.
Add all ingredients (ginger, garlic, green chillies) while grinding the daal
Try to use a well seasoned cast iron or non-stick pan. Heat the pan well, then lower heat, spread oil and make the chilla. Please see the detailed post here for more tips - pipingpotcurry.com/moong-dal-chilla/
@user-mb3xy1ff3v No, I don't add eno. Make the batter and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes before you start making the chilla..
Soak for how long
Soak for at least 3 hours or overnight. Here is the detailed recipe - pipingpotcurry.com/moong-dal-chilla/
I made this and mine got stick to the pan 3 times😢
I would recommend to use a non-stick pan. Also make sure to heat the pan well and use some oil before spreading the chilla. I love to use this pan (#aff) - amzn.to/49TEdB1
Pls tell which non stick tawa is this
This is hexclad pan I used for chilla. Here is another tawa which works great for dosa and chilla - amzn.to/3D8rvk2

This is not a quick recipe
How can I prepare this in normal pan?
It should work in any non-stick or cast iron pan.
You didn't used oil?
I do add some oil when making the chilla.
What’s the point if we don’t know the ingredients 😢
