Thank you! Was having a frustrating time trying to remove the plastic from a new camera adhesive mount, the heat makes all the difference.

*GO PRO'S OFFICIAL ANSWER ON HOW TO APPLY A STICKY MOUNT:*
"To apply GoPro adhesive mounts please follow these 3 steps:
Apply the mount to a smooth, and fully cleaned surface. A textured surface or any imperfections to a smooth surface can keep the adhesive from making a strong bond.
Firmly press the mount into place ensuring full contact over the entire surface area.
Be sure to apply the mount at room temp, and also allow at least 24 hours for the mount to properly adhere to the surface."

Thanks for posting this video. I have an old Hero 3 that I decided to start using again after sitting in a drawer for years. I mounted it on my arborist helmet.

nice vid! however idk if i did mine wrong, but instead of heating red cover, i took that off then heated the actual stick pad until that started bubbling then placed it. thoughts?

Are you entirely comfortable with using this mount in extreme cold weather? I've been told that the mounts tend to fall off in the cold. I just purchased a hero 6 black and I want to mount it right so I dont loose it while I'm snowmobiling

Im kinda late but i live in finland and there has been no problems for me. I used it on my helmet and it never came off or anything. Only the mount wore off but its not really related to the tape. So yea, should be no problems
