I actually like under the visor mount footage more than the chin mount. To me, 2:25 looks freaking perfect. Only problem is mounting it as you said. More research on this im gonna do. Awesome updated video from your old one👍🙂
Another big negative to the dango mount is if you’re wearing a neck brace it tends to hit it and get in the way. Very informative video, I personally have used the proshot mount for years and use the dango when appropriate. Never knew the mount existed to point back at you though! That was new for me and glad I found this video!
Zip tie that clamp over the face front when you need to use it. You could use velcro cable ties which are reusable and are less likely to scratch the Helmut when using the clamp. You're welcome.
Last option is what I use. Works the best and have yet to have a problem. Had to get it after my other chin mount sticky pads failed and I almost lost my gopro.
My favourite mount is the one called chin mount. For me this gave great angle and don't catch anything from helmet. Most of my videos are filmed with chin mount on my helmet!
I love my dango designs GoPro mount but on my helment it’s a fox v3 but the camera is angled towards the ground but it won’t angle up anymore. Any tips will help thanks
That’s what those straight adapters help with, they allow you to move the GoPro further away and angle it up more. Dango sells an adapter kit right on their website
Chin mount and below the visor are my favorite mounts makes videos so much better I hate watching videos of them on top or on the side idk why just bothers me
Hey Derek, I bought the chin mount that clips onto the helmet and idk why but we have the same go pro and it won't work on my go pro. Are there different sizes or did I get shipped a faulty one?
Hey man what cases do you use for your gopro? I have a silicone one and a plastic protective case. Im just worried with the silicone one i might break it as I just got a new GoPro but then with the protective case worried I might loose a lot of sound and some quality
Which gopro are you using? I use the Hero 8 and don't use any additional protective case. Just pulled the camera out of the box and mount it on the helmet. It has seen a lot of crashes, water, rocks, etc and is still going strong haha
@@DerekHallman ok thanks bro I have the hero 8 black too, I might just risk it then and get gopro subscription just incase 😅 always love your content man! 👌
I buy lens protectors, I don’t like the sound from the protective housing. So I get the glass lens protectors and a windslayer to help with the sound on my GoPro hero 8
i watched your whole video and i was about to complain about the loud music i could barely hear you talk. then i realized it was another youtube video still playing in the background lmfao..
The helmet cameras are now old and we as viewers only see dirt ahead. We want to see the rider ride and race so it’s best to get someone to video the rider as he rides. Thats the best view. It’s 2024 so that should have invented a way to have a drone follow the bike at 10’, 15’,20’ and 25’ away and something attached to the rider so the drone knows to follow the bike and video tape the rider.

Bro thabks you for actually making this love the vids bro
Can you recommend a go pro?
Oh boy I cant wait to test these helmet angles on my favorite FTR/AMA race event that definitely wont ban cameras on helmets!
I can't believe they did that. I get that mounting it on the top or the side can be in the way, but they should at least allow chin mounted cameras
I actually like under the visor mount footage more than the chin mount. To me, 2:25 looks freaking perfect. Only problem is mounting it as you said. More research on this im gonna do. Awesome updated video from your old one👍🙂
Best informational mounting video been looking all morning for something along these lines 🤘🤘🤘

What a way to promote your channel, to go out and crash like that. Thats dedication, lol!
Lol! Had to test out crash durability for the video of course 😂
Super informative video, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for this, chin mount sounds like the only way to go!
Those two chin mounts are great options, thank you.
glad I could help 👍🏼
@@DerekHallmancan you recommend a go pro?

You're welcome.
I can do that with my phone?
With a phone sure but will also need a phone case or mount that you can modify.
With modifications anything can utilize velcro zip/wire ties.
Brilliant video, very informative. Thanks for the info, I'm ordering a Proshot Chin Mount now 😊😊
Yeah, I just purchased that clip on chin mount very versatile
Great vid straight to the point thanks for your insight and experience. Big boss big boss.💪

Chin mount 👍 good video dude.
If you're after a chin mount and you own, or know someone who owns a 3d printer there are a bunch of mounts on Thingiverse :-)

Great vid.
Hey there! I have a chest mount and a helmet mount, but I can’t really see the front fender. Any tips?
My favourite mount is the one called chin mount. For me this gave great angle and don't catch anything from helmet. Most of my videos are filmed with chin mount on my helmet!
Nice video!!! Thanks
Cool, good, clear results
Thanks this is very helpful
Does the Dan go chin mount connect to any action camera or just actual gopros
I love my dango designs GoPro mount but on my helment it’s a fox v3 but the camera is angled towards the ground but it won’t angle up anymore. Any tips will help thanks

Cool ima try some of those
Imagine me looking for cross mount positions how to use it on a helmet for sport bike. Lol. But only video that shows all angles. Tnx , nice video!
all of the proshot chin mounts are out of stock, please if anyone knows a site that sells them that arent out of stock, leet me know 🙏🙏🙏
I just have one question for you: *How much does that helmet weigh now?*
Hey Derek, I bought the chin mount that clips onto the helmet and idk why but we have the same go pro and it won't work on my go pro. Are there different sizes or did I get shipped a faulty one?
Nvm
I like using the chin mount the best, but i'm afraid that if I face plant my go pro is gonna get destroyed.
Good bro🔝

yup definitely
Hey man I know this vid is 11m old but how about one that pic up your voice for streaming?
when you use your chin mount do you use 4k or no
Yeah 4k Superview
How do you protect the lens when you get roosted
Buy the gopro protective housing

Great idea for a vid
Nice viddd
I wish the dango mount was only $30 like the pro shot one but I got the dango because it’s removable
Wow you can really rip!!!
Check out the Wannabes chinmount, they make them custom for each helmet model, nearly indestructible ( TPU ). Great value and best viewing experience.
i watched your whole video and i was about to complain about the loud music i could barely hear you talk. then i realized it was another youtube video still playing in the background lmfao..
Anyone do the under visor mount and then when the rotate the image it doesn’t look right ?
Are you rotating the image in the camera settings or editing software?
@@DerekHallman I can’t remember how should I be doing it
@@thomaswebster8525 the gopro camera has an option to flip the screen upside and lock the view so the video films correctly when upside down.

No most realistic mount is the forehead.
