SPOILER: I think in this particular game I'd throw instead of playing (I think denying the press is very important for how comfortable the win was in the end), but I've lost in the past to exactly that: not caring about my neighbor after he played a weird card.
    How your experience has been?

Hello and thx for sharing my game :) I agree that throwing would have been a slightly better paly, but honestly, I went for the meme value :) And I also really like the feeling of grabbing big fat Chaimber of Comerce :)

Thanks for the Video! I liked the strategy briefing at the beginning.

The worst thing that can happen in 4p. Super boring game. Very unfair.
What's annoying is that Ephesus player was not to blame for inducing this sucking scenario. It's what the game offers. Going all-in was optimal for Ephesus in this situation.
Giza would've been the 3rd if he buried instead of discarding his last hand. Maybe a misclick. Therefore babylon was actually last, even with good cards in age 3.

I overlooked Giza couldn't bury at that time. Playing haven (which seems better than burying) would've saved him though.

Unfair for who and why? Notice how well and early Babylon player (credit to them) adapted to this situation and scrapped p3. I agree that it is not the most entertaining game, but I think that this kind of competetive strategy deserves to be presented

I don't know what you mean by "scrapped p3". Babylon didn't discard throughout the game……?
Babylon adapted to the situation. But he still got 3rd (or 4th with Giza playing haven and burying instead of Fortifications, which was very reasonable). Why? Just because ephesus grabbed all the grays (forcing Babylon to play them in crucial times of age 2), went all-in for green. He had no path for the better. Is it fair?
Well, it can be fair because we play a lot of games, and Babylon player will benefit from similar situation sitting in the rhodes or ephesus position in some other games.

I agree that this game is worth presenting. "When and how to monopolize green well" is a good topic.

@@純糖 You can name so many setups where one player has just no chance to win - sometimes even before the game starts. For example, in 4P, Alexandria between Hali and Rhodos, Giza across. You are like 5 % to win this game if all players play reasonably. And in those kind if horrible setups, getting 3rd is actually an accomplishment.
