  • I recently shot the 2023 Mammoth Sniper Challenge and wanted to provide a breakdown of the gear I took, what I brought it and how it worked.
This is a long video, but a ton goes into shooting a match like Mammoth.

Hey man thanks for the review! Would you consider doing a video on the KGM r6?

No, they stopped selling to civilians and the can is pretty mediocre. Doesn't seem worth doing.

Any of the top five running folders? Why didn't you run a folder? What are your thoughts of carbon vs metal chassis?

I am not sure, I am sure some were.
I don't like folders as they add weight and the only benefit they offer is a shorter stock (which doesn't matter to me)
Both are great, just depends on what you like better.

I did not see the link to the recipe for the meal replacements you put together, they sounded interesting.

    Two questions for ya:
I was under the understanding that you couldn't drop/leave gear once the match started? But not sure....
Next one how did you get into the mammoth challenge, I'm up here in canada and started getting into competition shooting (first one was the winter brutality in PG). But can't find much online as far as qualifying for this event! Thank man and great video!

      1. They return lost items. 2. I signed up when registration went live, they have already started posting about it on Facebook for next year.

You are correct, intentional abandoning of gear is against the rules. But if you say you "lost it" then it's kosher. Know the game

One of the most attractive things about shooting is the fact that shooting, in of itself, is a very Darwinian exercise. You either hit the target or you don’t. No amount of shit talking, bragging, bullshitting, or Gucci equipment, are going to put the pill on the spot if you can’t shoot!
