  • I recently shot the Alabama Tactical Games Sniper Challenge and wanted to provide a breakdown of the gear I took, what I brought it and how it worked.

Bruh. ANYBODY that makes podium in the Tactical Games is a big deal. You just don't jump off the couch Friday morning, "sign up" and you DAMN SURE don't place top 3 by "luck". It takes prior planning, commitment and 2 days of execution. You earned that shit, congrats!

I loved the “safety gun”. He says it so nonchalantly.

I too find a full auto CZ nice to have just in case.

You had me at "I'm a checklist guy" 😆 If you are set on military boots, Garmont T8 NFS are about 19.5oz each side for a size 10.5 if you're doing more running. They are a little soft for rucking but are fine on tarmac. Fine for week long national organizational competitions as well.

Haha checklists are key! And good to know, always heard great things about Garmont.

If you like the Garmont type boots you'll love the Deckers X Lab DX-G8 boots. They're built off the Hoka carbon plate running shoe. It will add a nice spring to your step and require zero break in.

@@lukethings you’ve got an orange patch on your wall in the background. That stands for 2nd Battalion Ranger Regiment

Ah, I forgot about that. I think it came from some Army guys I shot a match with.
