Toronto feels much colder because it is at sea level and more humid than Calgary. Calgary's air is dry and it is always sunny in the winter. I like my space in Calgary.
@@JB-do2ru we don't have 8 months of winter. Winter starts around late October or November to February. And in between we have Chinooks or warm Pacific air that can last for a week or more. Temperature can go up to 20c those days.
Wind chill causes cold winters in Toronto not the humidity. Calgary is under snow for 5 months while Toronto has just 2 months of constant snow cover. Although Calgary benefits form the chinooks, when the polar vortex hovers, it gets really cold and plunges to below -40 C. It's still way colder than Toronto on average.
@@robinjoseph8925 you idiot. Calgary is at 5000 ft above sea level. Vancouver is at sea level. -10 in Vancouver feels like -30c. Same as in Toronto. Seal level. Moisture in the air.
Toronto summers are humid and scorching hot. The winters are super snowy and full of ice rain, it chills to the bone. Calgary is often dry, minimal snow and sunny. You can put a down jacket on and go about your day 😊
i livved in calgary for 3 years and now i live back in the pace country there was alays so many people so much traffic and after about 2 to 3 years we started thinkng w should move back i met so many nice people and friends and im still in conact with 12 of my friends from calgary i talk to 1 of them about once a month and the other every day i get the chanc.
I was born and raised in downtown toronto. The cost of living is wild now, I have to move out of my own city. Idk much about calgary but ive been researching and looking into the option to move there.
@@ML-ov7woif you like experts telling you how to live and what to believe, Toronto is great. If you just want to do your own thing and get on with enjoying your life, Calgary.
One thing I found after moving to toronto is there’s a lot more interracial couples, mixed kids, etc. My fiancé (black) and I (white) always get stares when visiting Calgary. That’s enough for us to pay the Toronto premium.
I don't think that's why they stare, I'm a very average mid age Asian, I get stared at all the time too in Calgary lol I think it's just a small city, people stare because they are curious
People in Toronto don't mind either way about that sort of thing. People out West come mostly from small towns (Calgary is made up of people who grew up in small towns) and that mindset comes with them. Calgary is not a world class city.
Growing up in Toronto Never met anyone at all who disliked people from other parts of Canada. Go out west, and their entire personality is "we are not from Toronto". It's quite pathetic. Inferiority complex is real out west.
There is literally nothing young or exciting about Calgary. Everyone is retired or married. Young people move out of that city. People are nicer in Toronto.
People in Calgary are friendlier, but I've learned the friendliness out West is just their way of being polite. It's fake. and not synonymous with kindness. People in Toronto are real, genuine, and don't have time to BS around.
@@ML-ov7wo I agree. It's harder to make friends in the west than it is in Toronto. Warmer people energy in Toronto, versus colder tighter groups out west.

Yes this is true 🙌🏼
Interesting, I don't find Toronto that cold. And we only have 3 months of real winter, compared to the 8 months of winter in Calgary.

I'll say that the food scene in Calgary's definitely underrated; I can UberEats almost any type of cuisine and I live on the boarder of the city

Yeah it’s insane!
It's getting there here too! Good luck! Btw, without a car, it's complicated!
Awesome man. Can you do Vancouver next?
My family will move to Calgary after 24 years living in Toronto.
Nice goodluck!
go away

Calgary has very less corporate jobs. It is a blue collar city. Many corporate people regrets the move to Alberta and moved back to Toronto....
Can't agree with you better
the culture out west is very low brow as well. If you enjoy the finer things in life, go to Toronto.
@@ML-ov7wo BC and ON do 👍 in corporate

Awesome video, so helpful. Me n my husband live in Toronto but it's so hard life here, we r thinking of relocating to Calgary. Any other tips for us?
Definitely recommend sitting down and doing a cost analysis between both cities for yourself. It will make the decision easier 😊
