Like anywhere though, no one place or city is perfect. So living in Alberta and living in Canada certainly has its pros and cons.
Being born and raised in Alberta, I can definitely share some personal insight of what it’s like actually living here in Alberta, and living in Canada.

Could you see yourself living in Alberta?
There are so many great places to live in Alberta! Edmonton and Calgary are our two biggest cities with Edmonton being the capital; but both the Edmonton real estate market and the Calgary real estate market offer a ton of housing options. And both Edmonton and Calgary have international airports too!

I've watched 100s or 1000 videos about Canada, but I've never seen any video for which so much time and effort have been put, taking videos are multiple different places.. it's amazing.. also this is the first time I felt like commenting on any of those 1000 videos... great work !!

As someone from Alberta I will say that the cold can be that bad that it undercuts the advantage of a winter. Those days, there just isn't anything to do outside. But, it's not months of it. The amount of days like that are measured in days and weeks. Most of the winter is pleasant. It's pretty easy to adapt
    Very accurate video.

I’m living in mumbai right now and we would consider 16 degrees as cold winter temperature and everyone would be seen in warm clothes. But I guess after months of freezing cold temperatures the body does get used to the cold climate and then 16 becomes a pleasant summer temp for most. Amazing video by the way!

      @AllThingsRealEstate  ปีที่แล้ว

I lived in Vancouver for a bit and you’re right. You do start to climatize a bit. When I first got there I would wear shorts in the Summer, but then it started to feel cool. -35 though, that’s always cold no matter how long you’ve lived here haha. I’m going on 35 years here and it’s still bloody cold. 🤣🥶

Loved the video , good job. As for the weather I don't see the cold as too big a problem but being unpredictable is more of an issue, lol. I've worked in Ft. Mac and I understand what you mean. Thinking of moving to Alberta from north of Toronto. Just doing my research. Again Thanks.

From Edmonton you can take SWOOP and be in the sun in US or Mexico for about 5 hours and very cheaply too! Good to get out of the winter cold and enjoy the sun for a couple of weeks ! Helps to make winter shorter!! Swoop does not fly out of Calgary yet.

Interesting perspective MIKE and well presented. Calgary appears a good choice when I retire. One property was presented - a top floor condo in an older development with 1100 sq. ft. and a large workshop in the basement. I like both aspects and hear there are other such developments in the city. That place wasn't right for me and I am seeking listings such as in the future.

    • @AllThingsRealEstate

High crime rate also means that police is doing their job well and that not necessarily a bad thing! I like that you are happy I dont see so many content creators so sound in mind and spirit as much I see coming from Alberta. Seems to me that people are friendly and overall enjoy security. Clean, good roads, friendly people and give off a vibe that feels too good to be true and most likely it is true and thats perfectly great and awesome! Thank you for the video!

New subscriber here 😊.. Nice video.. so much effort you put for this.. very informative..I've been searching about living in Canada. I am just so worried of my husband. He just arrived in Edmonton almost 2 weeks ago. It's been 5days he works in Sherwood park.. No enough money.. no families or relatives around 😢 .. he's been walking 50-60 minutes to work if there is no bus during weekends. After watching this about the weather, I'm so worried for winter. He doesn't have enough winter jacket. 😢

    You should also mention that:
1- Alberta has the highest electricity charges and car insurance premiums in Canada
2- Water is very scarce in major cities
3- there are municipal franchise fees on all utility bills
4- municipalities charge for waste water
5- Alberta has the highest property taxes in the country

  • @TheSudharsun
