  • Ant from Black Knight Offroad recently returned from his trip to the legendary Cape York. Ant decided to stop in to give us his honest opinion on how our brand-new Superior Electric ECDS Shocks performed on some of the wildest tracks in the country.

Gday guys. If the electronic adjustment fails is there an ability to adjust them manually? Also if the electrics fail is it then stuck on the current setting?
    Why isn’t there also rebound
    Adjustability
    Cheers

So you would be stuck with the current setting until the system is fixed. The shocks are rebound adjustable from a manual adjuster on the shock shaft. The rebound cannot be run through electronically due to its position.

So you added another potential failure point to a vehicle

Just out of curiosity (not an expert!). The suspension would still work in case of electronic failure, right? If it's 'only' the adjustability feature that would no longer be available, the same could happen to shocks with manual adjustment (in case of mechanical failure).

we are yet to see any shock failures weather it be electrical or mechanical on our ECDS and as Sven said the shocks would still perform like normal if any issue was to affect the adjustment system

Will they be part of GVM upgrades going forward?
