- West Coast Choppers founder, Jesse James, has made custom bikes for many athletes - and most professional wrestlers - but has no problem turning down customers.
Gotta say, of all the reasons to deny someone’s custom order, the color was not the first one that came to my mind.
My thought exactly. I could see if the buyer was a dick head but if all they want is a specific colour I see that as no reason to turn down business unless you cannot get the colour.
No builder wants to build something they aren’t proud of. He’s not gonna build something and put his name on it if he hates it. It’s really not a hard concept to understand.
@American Nationalist he knows how the color yellow turns a hand fabricated custom piece of art into a loud disaster not one yellow chopper I've ever seen looks good it distracted people from all the beautiful work involved everywhere else and he didn't want his name on that..
Yellow is an ugly color. Like he said chicken. Banana is another one that would just get you nothing but laughed at. I for one can not stand the color as it reminds me of phlegm that i threw up when i was sick!
For the right kind of green I would paint it tuity fruity if they wanted it , never pass up the cash , but I am just a blue collar guy Guess if you already have plenty of green you can be pickey like that ,not me brother
Stallone should have agreed to have him build a bike and paint it what ever colour and then took it to be repainted somewhere else, then blew it up in one of his movies.

I kinda see both sides but if you're an artist you just make stuff you like and if someone buys it great, if not then it's no big deal, you make it for yourself and what you get out of it. That's not what he does though, he talked in great detail of how he created the bike specifically for Shaq, going to great lengths to make sure it was right for him and his frame. So with that in mind, the "No yellow bikes, huh huh" sounds a bit dumb.

I ask because Stallone does not have a speech impediment; he was born with half his face paralyzed. That's why he slurs his words. Hes also one of the most articulate and well spoken actors I've ever seen, which makes sense when you realize how many major blockbusters hes written. His IQ is also surprisingly high, something else you'll notice if you listen to him in long form interviews and not sound bites.
