I was watching his stuff early 2000's and I was wearing a Tie, Selling Cars n stuff. One Day I took a Welding course because I instinctively needed to learn a skill with my hands. Like a Surgeon, I started to become a Welder and then a Pipe Welder honing my craft and never looked back.
Jesse James is what planted that seed in my head. I knew If could Weld, I would never be Broke. Learn a Skill that is in High Demand that only a few can do.
With all of Jesse's accomplishments he is still such a humble dude. Much respect.

Here’s a true story come in straight out of Savannah Georgia, my friend EARL told me this. Sandra Bullock‘s ex-husband, the biker dude whatever his name was who cares. So Sandra Bullock bought a home at Tybee Island Savannah Georgia some years back. Oh yeah his name was Jesse James, so Jessie acted like a real DICK and went to the crab shack seafood restaurant on Tybee Island with Sandra Bullock. He ordered boiled 🦐 shrimp acting like a jerk he sent it back saying he was not going to touch shrimp that we’re not peeled, he sent it back for them to peel it for him. Earl told me that his son and the kitchen staff were rubbing the boiled peeled shrimp on their balls, took it back to asshole Jessie James and he ate it-hope this gets back to you Jesse James LOL what you get for being a DSCK-true story, true story ! Sorry crabshack but your seafood sucks, go to the SHELL house seafood restaurant @ I95 & Hwy204 instead, don’t have anything against the crab shack but as a local Savannahian you just nowhere to go.

This is the stuff that needs to be thought and handed down to are children.
I grew up with guns. We drove around with them in the car and used to just carry them up the street when I was younger to buy some ammo. And I'm not talking air rifle pellets these were 12 gauge and 30/06. No one fucking cared man... And you know what? I didn't want to shoot anyone - that thought never entered my mind.. It was just empowering and comfortable to have them. I'm 56 so this was in the early 70's in Australia. Just sayin' cause all this anti-gun hysteria is complete bullshit.. It seems to me to be more about government control and personal disempowerment..

Rebel Nomad I live in California and still grew up like that, we used to take the Remington 870 or even just 22.s and walk into the hills from town to shoot coyotes and rabbits, no one ever had a problem with it

Rebel Nomad My senior year in high school was when it all changed. I went to a vocational school that served 3 counties in NW Ohio. The area is covered by farms and rural land. These kids hunt before and after school, so there were guns in trucks. It was technically against the law, but was akin to jaywalking on an empty street by most. Then Cloumbine happened, and the world flipped over. SWAT came in and the school was put on lockdown, because of a kid who foolishly left his 22 in locked in the rack, when he pulled in the lot. A teacher pulled him off to the side, before he walked into the building. She told him to pull out of the school lot and stow it, (she was in a world of shit for that) or park off campus. Instead, he went to the truck, and quickly broke it down, and put the lower in his locked toolbox along with the ammo, and locked the upper in a hard case behind the seat. Someone saw him, likely for the briefest of moments, and freaked. I still don't know what happened to him penalty wise, but he was still awaiting trial when I moved down here to Tulsa in 01. Teacher was, of course, fired and likely blackballed from academia.
Rebel Nomad I'm 54 and grew up in California with/around firearms. Nobody thought anything of it. Things sure as hell have changed and for the worse.

When I worked across from West Coast Choppers in Long Beach I'd go to Cisco Burger which he owned and he'd walk over all dirty and pick up the trash in front of the restaurant. When I actually met him, he was so chill and he even went and refilled my soda. It kinda blew my fucking mind because at the time I'm thinking "Sandra Bullock's husband is refilling my coke? Wtf!?". Such a humble down to earth dude. I don't get why so many people say he's a dick.
Damn that's a crazy story, but I could totally see him being like that. Dude operates at the same speed his whole life. Pretty cool.
Colion conducted an excellent interview of Jesse James! People may have negative feelings or viewpoints towards the Jesse. The facts are that Jesse has honed his skills of metallurgy to the point that he received worldwide recognition and has built a following or fan base. I don't personally know him, but I respect his seemingly brutal honesty. I enjoy seeing his craftsmanship in all that he builds!

He’s not afraid to state the obvious. He likes beautiful things. Look at his wives! But I think he would be a hard task master to work for. He wants quality. He wants individuality. He wants whatever he builds to speak for itself. i’m sure he made a lot of mistakes along the way, but he damn well learned from them!
Reminds me when my non-car guy friends say, "Dude, how do you know how to do all this stuff?" I'm like... Figure it the f*ck out... Then I drive away in my 1970 Super Bee 4-speed and they drive away in their Honda Civic. Just saying. Figure it the f*ck out and don't be lazy. I work a white collar job, very stressful, and I come home and my cars are my passion and my stress relief! How do you NOT love what pays you back in hard work and coolness? The easy path IS just buying a cheap A to B car, or you can be the most bad-ass neighbor on your block and every time you go to the grocery store, people stare.
Patrick Vaden I think it’s important to not be afraid to make mistakes. That’s how you learn the most. I completely botched a xs400 rebuild, had to part it out to save $$, but my next one was actually a success. And the feeling of accomplishment was next to none.

His experience moving from California is the EXACT same as mine. I was always pro-2nd but I never realized how I was being neutered intellectually and practically by the hateful state of CA.
Im so glad The NRA picked you up as a spokesman, Colion. I'm glad to see people giving Jesse a shot to at least speak his peace about Gun Smithing. Too many haters. Jesse was a super humble guy when I met him in Daytona Beach in 1999, come to find out he had sold $500k in merch that weekend and you never would have know it by his ego. Very humble man and he always gives credit to the Original Masters of their craft and ALWAYS appreciates the little guy who's worked 70 hours on a Bridgeport for 40 years and can do the most technical cut you can imagine and doesnt think twice about it being a craft or an Art, those are the guys who teach us punks the most.....if they're not too grumpy lol
Hearing Jesse talk about people writing him letters and emails asking to work for him made me chuckle...in 2016 my 14yr old son wrote Jesse a letter asking to work there...he started working there over his 9th grade Christmas break...fast forward to 2020...my son has been working there ever since...every day after school, all day Saturdays, fulltime during any break from school, and full time all through the summers...if he wasn't at school or at home, he was at work. He just graduated high school and is a full-time employee learning all kinds of stuff. He's been there while filming for the new Monster Garage. He's been to Jesse's house a bunch of times. He's gone to concerts with Jesse and his family, out to eat, all kinds of shit, lol. Remember, never give up, persistence pays off.
That is fuxing Awesome!!

As a small business owner and tradesmen myself I fully appreciate what Jesse says about having to work to feel like you accomplished something and putting your all into it. He's says he's not a artist but most great artist will often say that. His bikes and guns are useable/ functional works of art. Great interview Mr. Noir !

Honestly, just stumbled across this video on my way home from work. I work in construction and am aspiring to get the hell outta California to become a gunsmith and someday manufacturer/shop owner and this video inspired me. Especially him talking about manual labor and that last bit. Thanks for bringing this awesome video man.

You can't afford a 1911? Or you can't afford a Jesse James 1911? Your basic 1911 can cost as little as a few hundred bucks. And in my opinion the most basic 1911 is already a work of art. Browning was an "artist" in his own right. Every gun he designed was a thing of beauty. I would love to own a Jesse James 1911. But I'm very happy with just a production 1911 too.

Been watching Jesse evolve over the Decades as a Great Mechanic Craftsman Machinist Fabricator Welder Custom Car Bike Builder Making Bad Ass Guns list goes on and on he's Very Talented long time ago watching Jessie making a Fender and Gas Tank using English Wheel anyone can do that is good in my book

Thanks Jesse, could listen to you talk all day. I believe you are an artist, you take art and make it applicable to machines that serve a purpose, a function of ingenuity that breeds quality, strength and style to its core. When you put your thumb print on a gun or bike its gonna be build to last, with artistic style in mind. I believe that's what we all wish for when we spend our hard earned money on any product of any sort! Problem with greed is, most of the stuff made by big name company's are engineered to only last long enough to keep us coming back for upgrades. Phones, cars, bikes ect. Keep up the solid work Jesse.

Jesse, through the last 20+ years I've kept up with your work on bikes, more or less, the TV shows and now the guns. I'll admit I haven't always held you in the highest regard personally, and that's probably because I don't know you and don't know anything about your personal life, but I have always admired how hard you are willing to work to make something the best you can and be proud of it or tear it apart and start over. I wish you best of luck and am glad you are now a Texan.
