@@ToniHunterOne I think it was just too much drama. Viewers always know just about every show it would be some type of drama sparked up by Sr. When the job was finished they all hugged each other. It made no sense. People got tired of that same script
Sr. was building gates and fences, he should have stuck to that. He got greedy when bike prices started going up due to dummies seeing them on TV and becoming willing to shell out crazy amounts of money just to say they had OCC bike
I felt the same. Then I realized he was saying two tools! And that made more sense. How many times did I watch this show and wonder, “what are these two tools up to now”?
When the show first came on and the focus was strictly on bike building, I was hooked. When it evolved into a soap opera I was done. Other shows that featured other builders became my go to shows. I loved watching Indian Larry, Jesse James etc. They were building bikes not acting like idiots. Indian Larry was by far my favorite show. His bikes were more basic mechanically but great designs in the frames and tins were over the top.. He was an artist concerned about building a functional working riding machine.
@@kaleidoscope8743 Without the drama the show would have been cancelled, mainly because the bikes really weren't any good. I mean, some of them looked good, but you couldn't ride any of them for a longer period of time, considering they had barely any suspension.
Paul Sr. ruined a great show due to his outrageous attitude because he was/is a steroid abuser. Always angry, always treating his people and his sons dismally! The producers of the show should have sent Sr. to a major rehab stint. So very sad!
I had a friend that bought one had to have one he paid plenty. God knows how much anyway he couldn’t take it for a ride every time he rode it he broke down every single time.
Whilst I very much enjoyed this video. What I am also enjoying is the comments! Most pleasurable! Please, keep 'em coming guys! Thank you for posting. I've subscribed.
Rick was the best fabricater at OCC and vinnie A good builder making them the most valuable people at OCC... And I liked Cody... Very sad how OCC destroyed it's self...
Having driven motorcycles for over 65 years, I used to watch the show fascinated at the ridiculous designs that passed for supposedly useful motorcycles. Artistic maybe but actually driveable...not at all. A quarter mile ride on one of those monstrosities would result in a permanent rupture of your privates. All hype and show and little go. Also reflected in their negligible resale value. But for some unknown reason I have yet to figure out, I did enjoy the show
I personally have RIDEN or Ride my bikes for 53 years and I have NEVER DRIVEN any of my bikes. You drive a car, you drive a truck you pilot an airplane you ride a bike you don't drive a bike. PLEASE get the Terminology correct . You should, of all people, know that after 65 years.
Thank you. I rode a motorcycle just once as a passenger when I was about 10. The guy crashed at low speeds, and I never got back on since then. Best to be safe than sorry.😊
I nearly passed this by as there are so many pathetic "where are they now" vids on TH-cam. Thank you for an informative and as positive as possible update on this great show.
I watched this show from start to finish back in the day. It got pretty sad for me seeing the dad always having such a massive drama with Paulie. It did lose its shine from there on.
It was the recipe of great talent that made the show! Everyone played a key role! The artistry was amazingly impressive! It proves, you can’t judge raw talent by how it walks, talks, and breathes!
Honestly, I thought that about Jr. himself too. He always acted like he was the only one who worked, while he was the least talented, and overall looked like a spoiled kid, who really needed to be bent over Daddy's knee.
@@TruthSeeker0831 Exactly! Every bike basically looked the same to me. Glueing a baseball onto the tank didn't make it look like it represented a baseball team. They would basically get a stock looking frame and put on a V-twin powertrain. stick on some blink crap and charge a 100 grand. Tax right offs for businesses I guess!
The reason interest and enthusiasm in custom bikes fell is because the novelty wore off and you can't find replacement parts or mechanics that can or want to repair or service them.
The show was a success because of a perfect storm of events! The real estate boom of the early-mid-2000's put loads of money in people's pockets which they could and would spend on custom bikes! Other shows, like West Coast Choppers and even car fabricator shows like Fouse and Pimp my Ride, were huge but by 2007-8, the money disappeared, and the show became more about the drama than the builds because frankly, no one could afford these excessive monstrosities! But it was good the first few years!
Paul Senior does not own OCC anymore. The reason he relocated there is cause he was broke bankrupt and facing lawsuit's against him from former worker's and several companies. Paul Junior he's doing good and he is free and clear of his father's mess. Vinnie he's doing really good and Cody work's with him. Rick own's his own business and he's doing good. Jason Pole last i heard he was arrested for spousal abuse attacking his wife (now ex wife) and there kid's. Jason was placed under house arrest since they could not keep him in jail. A lot of people don't realise my of OCC creations were unrideable. Underpowered, uncomfortable to the point of being uncontrollable which makes them depreciate in value once people realise they are mostly meant to display purposes only.
I could care less about the drama I was in it for the artistry of the motorcycles. They were so incredibly beautiful not practical, but really beautiful works of art. They just started to lose me a bit when it focused on all drama and the bike started to be similar all the time towards the end nothing that different from each other besides the paint
I think you mean " I COULDN'T CARE LESS" Meaning you care so little if at all, you could not care less. The way you typed it you actually cared and you could care less. But to use that phrase in a derogatory manner you really didn't care at all. And you don't know how to use that phrase correctly. idiot.
False. To bend and shape metal is no easy task. They make most of their parts, sans the frame, engine and wheels, but the tank, bars, and many other are hand built.
@@mercdragons NO - Sr. was quoted as saying "ALL our bikes are riders". Take any of those bikes on a 1200 mile trip; use it to go to work for a couple of weeks, run them on some back roads, do some miles in the rain... then get back to me.
There is always that one person in every family that keeps the peace, that was me in my dad's business. My sis was always the logistics, I relate to Mikey more, but always wanted to be taken seriously more than what I was known for. But I am praying to the Lord for that dynamic to change.
The first couple of seasons were pretty decent. But from start to finish (especially after the second season), the fake drama and related issues just really killed it. The producers of the show would basically tell them things to raise their hackles, and tell them to yell at each other more, and then the frustration would boil over on camera (as intended). The producers manufactured stress just to set them off, all while telling them to deliberately overreact to everything. Then they'd cut the episodes to show only the extremities of their behaviors...either the especially "sweet" moments that rarely happen in life, or the utter meltdowns that also rarely happen in life. It was always one giant setup. And it sucked, because they were interesting people, doing cool shit. I'd have been much happier with seeing more of their real process, and making bikes without being told to make them even wilder to look at for the sake of the cameras. But, oh well. Nothing to do to fix it except destroy America, really.
How odd that Mike Rowe"s 2003-2012 (and still vey visible and popular in re-runs) hit series "Dirty Jobs" is not mentioned as one of his primary, and most renown, activities. Also weird that no real detail is provided on Paul Teutul Sr's arrest/court case.....Whaaat?
I always hoped that the disrespect Junior showed his old man was for theatrical purposes. As a younger man, there is no way I would have treated my father the way Junior did his. If it was real, I'd be disappointed for them both. I don't know my ass from my elbow around motorcycles but I always thought the builds were pretty cool, interesting and looked great. Loved the characters and took the show for what it was, entertainment. But what do I know? It was a great show and I miss it.
It would be nice if the guy who is moderating this story know enough about their family to be able to atleast pronounce their last Tuttles last name correctly.
The son went against his dad. The son pushed his dad's buttons on national television in order to discredit his dad. The son argued and blew up to get his dad to react the same way. It was the dad that made the show and it was because of the dad that there was even a motorcycle shop at all. The show was great when the dad being the picture of a biker was there to add his actions to the show. But I blame the son for treating his dad like he did. The son deserved nothing. But the dad gave him his half and even helped him. I would never treat my dad that way even if he were wrong. After all I owe my dad everything. And I must show him the respect he is due. If I don't then I'm a scumbag.
He's the kind of guy you really do want to like. Senior seems to go out of his way to destroy every thing and every one around him with his ego, strutting around, shouting down; he's a control freak. No wonder Mickey got lost in the stress of playing peacemaker and self medicated with the main drug of choice, alcohol.
I would much rather have a Indian Larry bike or Billy Lane or Jesse James bike because the look a lot cooler. American chopper bikes are the goudy bikes of the bike world. Remind me of the impallas with 30 inch tires and all jacked. Look like pimp bikes. Mikey was funny the most intertaining part of the show.

Who scripted this video? This video sounds hyped just like the show which I didn't like. I'm not a fan but don't knock those who are. I'm not a fan of their custom bikes, either. Their bikes are unique and creative in style and looks so I'm not entirely biased. Their bikes could be of higher quality in fabrication, craftsmanship, and overall quality.
If Jr, Rick, Vinny, Christian, and Cody had the authority they’d have adapted throughout the years. Senior wasn’t a leader he was a dictator, which when at the helm of a multimillion dollar company…. Will end in a kamikazi type ending
I also think Paul‘s total was robbed and that last bike or build off gas monkey just restored a bike. Junior just made the same bike. He made the year before but Paul made an absolute masterpiece of a bike. That bike was amazing and something different. I just wish you didn’t use the same SNS motor they put in all those bikes, but man that was beautiful and pretty unique.
Orange County Choppers made horrible bikes. Jesse James put a sizable bet up to Paul Jr. challenging him to race his bike against Jesse's and Paul refused to take the bet. The reason was he knew he'd lose that bet, because, other than looking good, Orange County Choppers were of low quality.

No word on Paul Sr being incarcerated. “In 2018, Paul Sr. filed for bankruptcy and moved to Florida, relocating the operations of Orange County Choppers to the Sunshine State as well. In 2021, he opened the OCC Roadhouse and Museum in Clearwater. The facility also features a concert venue, but the operation's finances have been the source of some controversy. In 2018, the Miami Herald reported that several foreign investors had been scammed out of millions of dollars in a Ponzi scheme connected to the OCC Roadhouse and associated "shares in paper companies that had no value at all." That was not Paul Sr.'s first foray into the restaurant business, nor his first brush with restaurant-related legal trouble. That same year, Page Six reported that the Orange County Clerk's office had filed a warrant for more than $22,000 in unpaid state taxes for his Orange County Choppers Cafe in Newburgh, NY. The outlet also reported that his home in Montgomery was in foreclosure. Despite the legal speed bumps surrounding the project, Paul Sr. continues to operate the OCC Roadhouse in Clearwater as a combination restaurant, museum, and concert venue. In 2023, Paul Sr. used the venue as the site for the first annual Orange County Choppers Invitational Bike Show and Biker Build-off Competition.” Quoted from slashgear’s Dec 3, 2023 article “Here's What Happened To Paul Teutul Sr From American Chopper”

Rick Petco had more skill in his pinky than Senior whole life.
The father with his ego issue destroyed this show. Jr was building people's dreams with the team that was present. The father totally destroyed this family and show.
Scripted. JUST IN TIME FOR SCRIPTSTMAS!!!!!!!
Yes is too bad , Could of , Should of , Oh well life goes on .
I agree. Some are blaming Junior the failure but it was Senior's decision to misappropriate the funds given to him to continue American Chopper.
The constant mispronunciation of their last name almost made me sick, and the chaos of the story line left me thinking "thank God this is over".
I agree
Whaaaa it wasn't Paul Too-tull? Hahaha
Yes! I just commented that! It rhymes with PUDDLE!
I felt the same. Then I realized he was saying two tools! And that made more sense. How many times did I watch this show and wonder, “what are these two tools up to now”?
Made it to 3:01 before running to the shitter to barf.
Vinnie was the most valuable member of the whole team. I’m glad he’s doing well.
I think u mean Rick was the most valuable. Vinny was just friends with the family not the best mechanic
@@Shawn-Leidernaw Vinnie was the most valuable . Rick
just kissed seniors a$$ all the time.
Devolved. I hear you!! It went down with the angst ridden drama.
@@kaleidoscope8743 Without the drama the show would have been cancelled, mainly because the bikes really weren't any good. I mean, some of them looked good, but you couldn't ride any of them for a longer period of time, considering they had barely any suspension.
It's an impressive video because of how many different ways the narrator can pronounce Teutul.
Paul Sr. ruined a great show due to his outrageous attitude because he was/is a steroid abuser. Always angry, always treating his people and his sons dismally! The producers of the show should have sent Sr. to a major rehab stint. So very sad!
He was an over rated arrogant douche
The old man needed more than rehab
I had a friend that bought one had to have one he paid plenty. God knows how much anyway he couldn’t take it for a ride every time he rode it he broke down every single time.
A guy I worked with also bought one and it ALWAYS broke down 😂
Whilst I very much enjoyed this video.
Haha it’s called Hollywood, chewed up and spit out ,, but we keep seal clapping
I loved American chopper the first couple seasons, then got burnt out
Having driven motorcycles for over 65 years, I used to watch the show fascinated at the ridiculous designs that passed for supposedly useful motorcycles. Artistic maybe but actually driveable...not at all. A quarter mile ride on one of those monstrosities would result in a permanent rupture of your privates. All hype and show and little go. Also reflected in their negligible resale value.
But for some unknown reason I have yet to figure out, I did enjoy the show
@TOURMANBOB Too true, I never liked any bike they ever built, all totally impractical
and only good for a short ride to the shops!.
Since when are motorcycles driven. They're ridden, full stop.
They were not made so much to drive. There were works of art
I like to drive my bicycle.
Thank you. I rode a motorcycle just once as a passenger when I was about 10. The guy crashed at low speeds, and I never got back on since then. Best to be safe than sorry.😊
I nearly passed this by as there are so many pathetic "where are they now" vids on TH-cam.
Thank you for an informative and as positive as possible update on this great show.
what happened?
I watched this show from start to finish back in the day. It got pretty sad for me seeing the dad always having such a massive drama with Paulie.
It did lose its shine from there on.
It was the recipe of great talent that made the show! Everyone played a key role! The artistry was amazingly impressive! It proves, you can’t judge raw talent by how it walks, talks, and breathes!
After watching this this and seeing Jr and his wife, I got flash back of John Lennon and Yoko... she was on camera for no reason! 😄😄😄
To be fair, Jr's wife was on for a few reasons, blonde, 2 big boobs, or a big stuffed bra and skin tight pants. :)
Yeah, the Gears of War Trike looked just like the Spider bike, lol. Dude SU@@Dogsled1000
BUILDING BIKES WITH NO A SUSPENSION, MAKES THE BIKES WORTHLESS.......
The reason interest and enthusiasm in custom bikes fell is because the novelty wore off and you can't find replacement parts or mechanics that can or want to repair or service them.
Most of the stuff on these bikes you can buy off the shelf.
@@BiggerFatterBlog Well you could at one time, until Custom Chrome went broke
The show was a success because of a perfect storm of events! The real estate boom of the early-mid-2000's put loads of money in people's pockets which they could and would spend on custom bikes! Other shows, like West Coast Choppers and even car fabricator shows like Fouse and Pimp my Ride, were huge but by 2007-8, the money disappeared, and the show became more about the drama than the builds because frankly, no one could afford these excessive monstrosities! But it was good the first few years!
Fake ass people. Fake bikes. Fake show.
The fake family drama didn’t hold me either.
You don’t need to hear what I thought about ‘The Apprentice’!
Summed it up nicely.
And that's the last i heard of him. Nick and Christian they own a business together that is what somebody posted on a page i follow.

A lot of people don't realise my of OCC creations were unrideable. Underpowered, uncomfortable to the point of being uncontrollable which makes them depreciate in value once people realise they are mostly meant to display purposes only.
Just pretty
I really liked Rick and Cody episodes. Cody seemed to be a natural
And you don't know how to use that phrase correctly. idiot.
Same opinion as mine👍
Their bikes are no more than what any bike mechanic could build with welding skills.
I think they used to charge $100,000 - $180,000 per bike. I think that Bikes and Beards guy bought a used one for $7500.
False. To bend and shape metal is no easy task. They make most of their parts, sans the frame, engine and wheels, but the tank, bars, and many other are hand built.
they generally made 'carrousel' bikes. Hardly any of them would qualify as 'daily drivers'. Jessie was right- glorified 'cake decorators'.
The bikes weren't meant to be drivers. They were advertisement for the companies. A tax write off and come check out this cool bike.
@@mercdragons NO - Sr. was quoted as saying "ALL our bikes are riders". Take any of those bikes on a 1200 mile trip; use it to go to work for a couple of weeks, run them on some back roads, do some miles in the rain... then get back to me.

Mike Rowe worked for OCC? What? Are you high? Not a chance! LOL He narrated for discovery nit wit.
There is always that one person in every family that keeps the peace, that was me in my dad's business. My sis was always the logistics, I relate to Mikey more, but always wanted to be taken seriously more than what I was known for. But I am praying to the Lord for that dynamic to change.
That was one of the most discombobulated videos I’ve ever tried to watch 😂
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist5 God is evil...the father of lies.

TRUTH!
It was so FAKE as a real Motorcycle ride, I just could not watch that stupid show. I'd rather watch Green Acres.
It was real.
@justkeep.. But his father taught him this behavior. And treated his son in the same way.
And Mikie was just a court jester on the show
The family odd ball member
Who is your dad? Saint Michael.
They fed off each other!

@David-lo1fo did you have a dad?
It was a Scripted Production.
Every one of the old crew are now more successful then senior .. he really and truly royally fcuked it all up!
Always loved Paul Jr. And Mikey. Dad always seemed like a real tool
Every bike they built was cartoonish. I was at an unveiling and they got boo'd off stage.
OCC was show- bullshit.
Sr. is up here in Brooksville, FL hanging out!
Is his restaurant still open ?
I would much rather have a Indian Larry bike or Billy Lane or Jesse James bike because the look a lot cooler. American chopper bikes are the goudy bikes of the bike world. Remind me of the impallas with 30 inch tires and all jacked. Look like pimp bikes. Mikey was funny the most intertaining part of the show.
Hi A.l. Narrator Nice vid.

Am I the only one who thinks the show was totally scripted? I think those never ending "conflicts" between Sr. and Jr. were solely for TV ratings.
I'm sorry it ended this way , they were very talented !
how did it end?
talented cake decorators, not bike builders. I love it when Jessy slammed them on TV, not that Im a fan of Jessy James.
Why was there a couple images of doughboy, which is JJ the boss’s son on Memphis Street outlaws when they were talking about Kody this guy does not even know what he’s talking about. Love how he says the last name also wore me out. 😂😂😂😂
Right?! WTF was that all about?
I have seen some OCC bikes being bought some years after the Show ended, and they honestly wasn't that special but pretty awful rides. But to see Rick Petco making a tank from just paperclips was art!
No special and pretty awful rides? What's your motivation to say something so absurd?

No word on Paul Sr being incarcerated.
“In 2018, Paul Sr. filed for bankruptcy and moved to Florida, relocating the operations of Orange County Choppers to the Sunshine State as well. In 2021, he opened the OCC Roadhouse and Museum in Clearwater. The facility also features a concert venue, but the operation's finances have been the source of some controversy.
In 2018, the Miami Herald reported that several foreign investors had been scammed out of millions of dollars in a Ponzi scheme connected to the OCC Roadhouse and associated "shares in paper companies that had no value at all."
That was not Paul Sr.'s first foray into the restaurant business, nor his first brush with restaurant-related legal trouble.
In 2023, Paul Sr. used the venue as the site for the first annual Orange County Choppers Invitational Bike Show and Biker Build-off Competition.”
