- Join me for a street photography walk around my new neighborhood in new york city, Astoria, Queens, with my Canon T7i. I just moved here a few weeks ago, and shooting here is reminding me how fun and important it is creatively to change your environment every now and then, to help you gain inspiration, and even get out of a rut. I used to live there. I moved away in 2006. I always enjoyed photographing the boats by the pier on the west side. Some days they just came out so beautiful. I also enjoyed going to coney island in the summer. Enjoy your stay.😊

I love the enthusiasm in this video Jared. Nothing like exploring a new place, especially someplace as interesting as where you were in this vid. As a former firefighter I loved the NYFD rolling through. Heading out tomorrow to a town I have only photographed a couple of times and will try to take your enthusiasm with me. Can’t wait to hear when you get a solo gallery show too.

Agh it’s such a special place to shoot, life happening in every way possible all around you, depending on where you are of course haha I’m glad you’re liking the 24mm! That’s been my main one since moving here. I was using a 50mm 1.8 in this one, which I also love
