i like this version of P Wan's, definitely inspired from the novel, giving us lots of sweet moments. i feel like theres an upgrade in the cinematography for this episode. this episode feels different.
I understand Anueng's feelings in this part very well. I grew up far away from my father too, never had a relationship with him, and every time we spoke he'd ask me to visit him (in another state) which made me close up to him. Trying to force Anueng into situations where she feels uncomfortable and alone when she doesn't yet feel secure around him is the worst way to approach a daughter/son, especially an introverted one. Anueng approaches Auntie Nim cause it's something she wants to do, but how Chet is going about a relationship w/ her makes Anueng feel pressured. I also see the uncomfortable and awkward position Nueng is put in. In a way, she is pushed into a guardian role for Anueng because Chet is unable to approach Anueng alone, because she is (understandably) closed off to him and her own mother. It's such a complicated situation.
Low-key Khun Neung put herself in that position as guardian when she asked the grandma to be the one that will help Anueng with her studies. She didn't intend for it to be that way ,but when everyone believed Anueng was always around Khun Neung,she was bound to guard her ,it went as far as going on a trip together. But yeah you're right Chet did really force that role on her , when he tried approaching Anueng in such an uncomfortable manner , how can you find out you have a daughter who didn't force herself on you and then now ask her for a DNA test 😂🙅
I love Aneung's gesture to blend into the family. Letting Antie Nim know that she loves Khun Neung too and she's willing to wait until they get accepted shows her sincerity. 🥰 I'm soo happy this scene happen.

Since the show obviously couldn't be quite as...explicit with things as the novel was, i like that instead of promising sex in exchange, Khun Neung asks Aneung to go visit her grandparents in order to build a relationship with her family, so that maybe in the future they will be more open to the relationship between Khun Neung and Aneung. In the novel, Aneung is very stubborn about meeting both Chet and Piengfa in the middle when they want to build relationships with her, which seems childish and frustrating. I like that Khun Nueng is using her rational nature to make Anueung see things as a bit less black and white, and that Aneung is more willing to compromise here.
Actually I really have to gush about Auntie Nim right now, she's so great and here's why: When Aneung went to go and cook with her, she wasn't all cool and mature, she was a mess 😅 she hurt herself, she was afraid of the oil, she said the wrong thing, but at the end of it, Pa Nim had obviously decided Aneung was okay. And WHY?? Because she was never worried that Khun Neung was taking advantage of Aneung. The whole time, Pa Nim was just worried that Aneung was a gold digger and was manipulating Khun Neung to get her money. When Pa Nim saw that Aneung was a clueless kid, but that she was totally in love with Khun Neung, she stopped being so cold towards Aneung. The whole time, Pa Nim was just worried about Khun Neung 🥰

It's amazing to see two beautiful girls in the love scene.
Since the show obviously couldn't be quite as...explicit with things as the novel was, i like that instead of promising sex in exchange, Khun Neung asks Aneung to go visit her grandparents in order to build a relationship with her family, so that maybe in the future they will be more open to the relationship between Khun Neung and Aneung.
In the novel, Aneung is very stubborn about meeting both Chet and Piengfa in the middle when they want to build relationships with her, which seems childish and frustrating. I like that Khun Nueng is using her rational nature to make Anueung see things as a bit less black and white, and that Aneung is more willing to compromise here.

Actually I really have to gush about Auntie Nim right now, she's so great and here's why:
When Aneung went to go and cook with her, she wasn't all cool and mature, she was a mess 😅 she hurt herself, she was afraid of the oil, she said the wrong thing, but at the end of it, Pa Nim had obviously decided Aneung was okay. And WHY??
Because she was never worried that Khun Neung was taking advantage of Aneung. The whole time, Pa Nim was just worried that Aneung was a gold digger and was manipulating Khun Neung to get her money.
When Pa Nim saw that Aneung was a clueless kid, but that she was totally in love with Khun Neung, she stopped being so cold towards Aneung.
The whole time, Pa Nim was just worried about Khun Neung 🥰
