Internet spying is not the overarching issue of today, though it is important. The main issue is internet censorship. Tell you what, we lost the Viper but this thing is in my eyes the closest thing to it and it is BADASS.
It started life using the same chassis as the Viper, its just two generations removed now.
Stuka87 not really, the amg gtr you see now goes as far as the 300 sl from the 50s.
The SLS and Viper were built off the same platform. If the Viper continued production, it'd share a platform with the AMG GT

I have the GTS with the performance package and I tuned mine with a Stage 2 Eurocharge tune and straght piped. It is an absolute monster but still very Mercedes. Love the car.

I REALLY wish the AMG GT Black Series used the “normal” front end like this. It’s so much more aggressive than what they used.
The amg gt series is one of the most underrated cars around.. I went to a track day a couple weeks back.. A guy in a base amg gt was annihilating people in the advance group.. And they were in vettes (I like my vettes lol) and 911's...(especially in the corners) I was in a focus so he killed me most everywhere haha
This is one of the most idiot claims I've ever heard. Nobody here in Europe "underrates" an AMG GT vehicle... No matter if it's a GT S, GT C or GT R. These cars are amazing sport and super sports cars. As fast as quick as Porsche 911 models.

Aston Martin models aren't competition at all for all these AMG GTs! Aston Martin are just like rip off vehicles, which got the same engine, but only in a wet sump version but not in dry sump, like the AMG GT C and GT R.
Aston Martin cars are just for wannabes, whereas the AMG GT R versions are for true sports car drivers.

@@user-jf8gd3lv7q you have no clue. No one in the US thinks of the amg gt. It had to follow the SLS. The AMG GT will definitely be a classic. The pre 2020 GTR and GTS will be extremely sought after. The screens in the newer ones will age extremely poorly.
And the GT63 is literally the 4 door version. Not in terms of chasis, but the driving character is about the same
When you said a few months ago you were going to have one of these for review, I got super excited. Video did not disappoint, incredible car.

That AMG Twin Turbo V8 is my favourite of all the TT V8’s. I wish Mercedes would make a mid engined car using that engine to compete with the R8 and cars like that.
Why ? R8 is slow on Track compared to a GTR !! And not FUN to drive at all..

PUNJABI SIKH SINGH DEOL Well you can get a manual in the Vantage with a similar powertrain and it’s more unique since it’s an Aston. You can’t get a manual transmission in any AMG GT or any new Mercedes-Benz in the U.S. for that matter
The Vantage is just so much classier looking. I think I would lean towards the Aston.

I feel like the video maybe doesnt translate the sound of the engine that wel. It sounds really muffled.(turned my audio up ofcourse) Might sound a lot better in real life though.

I don't know why I watch these videos. The OPTION to have the soft top is $26,000, which is nearly double what my current car is worth.
I like this car its just a little to large on a public road and I prefer it without the wing...but the perfect muscle car for sure....I have only driven the GTC version of this... it's a true front mid engine car hence the handing...

Beautiful... Who ever owns one of these is a God.
The amg 4.0 is a weapon. And the gearbox is surprisingly good as well. Can be a bit jerky around town but once you got it figured out its alright - and almost pdk levels when going fast. I do miss the deeper sound of the 5.5 though. That turbo spool on a coldstart.... can't beat it. Gearbox was pretty crap though.
Now that sounds like a proper AMG
You are really really fast, what i like. But what if someone has a breakdown in one of the corners you can't completely look into and you are going with that speed? Just saying.

If I didn't have a 110 lb dog, this would be my next purchase. The E63 Wagon in my garage feels great, but the GTR is on a level unlike most cars out there.
