I used to work for a couple different cell phone carriers as a sales person. I was never required to buy a phone or plan. They either gave the phones/accessories to me for free or gave me an option to buy them at a discount if I *wanted* to.
Their explanation of why you have to spend hundreds of dollars to start with a company makes no sense.
It makes perfect sense if it's a pyramid scheme.....
I lost money in MONAT 😂 I only ranked up once but definitely spent more money on the products then anything else. PV is required to hit your goals and you can’t really promote products you don’t have. It’s a pyramid scheme no matter the angle you look at it.

I'm 33yo and never owned a "toy" before so props on doing the giveaway it piqued my interest. Love your body/sex positivity and openness. I grew up in a home were sex was never talked about and shamed, it made my journey into womanhood more complicated than it needed to be. So I love that people are being more open about it being normal and ok to love yourself in all ways.
It’s not necessarily a “giveaway” you will have a very very small chance of actually getting something worthwhile. It’s mainly just to have your information. It’s disappointing that Chelsea is affiliated with that. 😕

I was very impressed by her explanation of a Ponzi scheme too. It was clear she took some time to really look into that first definition.
Edit: And then she explain her idea of pyramid, realized she'd described herself, and started trying to "logic" out of it. She was so close to being self aware. Just so close.

I worked with contract salespeople previously in my non-MLM sales job. The salespeople received a full case of every new product that came out, no shipping, handling, website or any other fees were charged for these products. Plus, they could order, up to a specified dollar amount, the rest of our product line EVERY MONTH, at no cost. When new sales reps were onboarded they received a "starter kit" for free. That's one of the biggest differences between a legit sales job and MLMs. That and recruiting everyone and their dog.

I love when she said she “almost” qualified for a trip. If there’s no sales quotas, why didn’t you get that trip?? Based on her logic everyone should get the trip. It’s not good when 90% of your time is spent trying to combat accusations like this?? Rather than trying to trying to convince us that the products are actually good. You could really go on and on with how ridiculous this all sounds.

I think people misunderstand that “ranking up” doesn’t mean you are now above your recruiter in the structure. It just means the qualifying pyramid below you is bigger than theirs. You don’t become your upline’s upline.

i have mostly positive things to say about ALL the places i’ve worked, and i still wouldn’t go on my insta story and explain the payment structure of any of those companies.
After having spent many years interpreting and applying state and federal policy, I feel like MLM payment structures are still beyond what I could ever adequately explain.
I'm not saying this is a video you did while batch filming because idk, but I want to compliment you on your video quality. I know you film videos back to back a lot but when I watch your videos it never feels like you are rushing through them or that you have lost interest. I feel like your quality is consistent and that is really nice! I know this is your job so you'd obviously want to do well but I just think its cool that you can do that.

I also lost my dog when I joined so I was really vulnerable. But when they charged my card without my approval because I couldn't cancel a flexship I lost more and just quit but I had to write their corporate a letter just to quit its bs.

I always think of this comparison with MLM products...think of those fundraisers from school, selling candles or chocolate or what not to earn money for a club/group. The products are expensive for their low quality, but that's because it's a fundraiser. Adults are giving money to a group/organization and basically getting a "thank you" in return via cheap candles/chocolate they "ordered" - it's not a fair trade, and it's not meant to be, it's meant to bring in a profit for the group. That's the dynamic with MLM products. It's not a fair trade, and it's not meant to be, it's meant to bring in a profit.

In the restaurant industry we have what's called a rollout. When new workers start we make the cocktails and food for them to try so that they can sell it. It is free and actually part of the training process. They don't just have you buy the food, take it home, and wish you luck.

A lot of the time, she would kinda get bored with the MLM and actively stop selling which of course resulted in her not being able to rank up or get bonuses. However, my mom was still getting a cheque every month cuz her downlines were still active. They even out ranked her but no matter how much they earned, my mom was still earning more cuz she was at the top. that is a pyramid

The company should pay to have the products manufactered themselves, usually by taking out a loan of some kind to at least get started. The small starter kit for Monat is $99. Yes it’s just samples, but it’s not only $199. We know that they don’t get a commission from the $99 kit. So I understand why they push the $199 kit. It’s just lying saying that $199 is the cheapest kit. No. The truth is the cheapest kit for the reps to make money from is the $199. People should just buy the $99 kit instead if they’re broke and want ti start. I say don’t join a mlm, but if they are gonna join, spend as least money as possible and be honest.

I've found with most people who I know that are in mlm's, if you say yeah send me a link to what you're selling or product list, they won't let you buy from them, the only option they give you is to sign up because "you might as well, it's free and you'll get better discounts", and if you tell them no I want a one time purchase I don't want to sign up they'll give up because they only want to recruit not sell.
Common sense says that if your job is legit, nobody would even question it.
I have never once felt the need to go on the internet to inform the world that my job isn’t a scam. Why? Because my jobs are legitimate jobs that give me a paycheck without having to recruit others.
