I’ve never commented before BUT….The example the girl gave about the real estate agent doesn’t compute to me. I did Monat 2 years- first year I made around 9k second year I made 20k. The avg realtor in todays market makes anywhere from 8-11k PER SALE. One sale. My biggest problem was that NWM burned me out so bad, messed with my mental health, I never had a day off and it only got worse as I kept ranking up. Don’t even get me started on the stress of “Maintaining” your rank lol. You are not free or your own boss. The company owns you and you don’t even realize when it happens. If I could do it again I would immediately choose becoming a realtor over starting a NWM “business”(aka a company recruiter). The numbers show it pays off “quicker” in real estate and you make REAL money over time. I’ll take lump sums for my efforts over $15 weekly paychecks anyday. Monthly paychecks are not what people make them seem either fyi lol.
I'm confused and a bit concerned by someone saying they were a mess... because they didn't take social media seriously... because their account was private. I would say that *is* taking social media seriously - but I'm not in a MLM, so what do I know?

We need educated people for a strong economy and a safe society. More advanced countries than us like most of the EU for example have free education. Even in ones without free Bachelors they at least have free technical degrees like dental hygienists, nurses, mechanics, paralegals etc. the USA is VERY VERY far behind. We’re going backwards right now not forwards.

There ARE people who want to do that though. There ARE people passionate about helping others figure out their hair and a haircare routine. These women spend so much time saying their supposed industry is ridiculous when they could just walk into a hair salon or specialty store and see people who actually do want to do that. But that's part of their break from reality I guess.
Student loans lady is killing me. I'd rather have education covered so that people are more educated in general. Funding curiosity is how human society peacefully expands. I'm willing to invest into my society vie education.

I was just wondering, do ANY actual “legitimate companies” ever call the way they pay their employees a “compensation plan”? Ive never heard that term to describe the way I am going to be compensated (even working straight commission) before I started learning about MLM’s so I’m curious if that should be a huge red flag in itself? (I’m pretty sure the answer is yes, but I want to make sure just in case 😊)
That’s what I figured lol I am 33 and I’m a cosmetologist, but the only other jobs I have had are bartending and server jobs in my younger 20’s so I don’t have experience in many different industries 😊 Any commission pay I qualify for is always after hitting a set number of sales or number of clients and is usually very straightforward as to how the commission is paid out… it’s also something that I would get paid for hourly if I didn’t hit the commission numbers for that month! So nobody is ever getting screwed and not getting paid if they don’t hit commission for whatever reason.

I was on the first girls team in Monat over 5 years ago. I'm so sad to see her still in it. She was treated like a celebrity in our team. We were always told to look up to her achievements at the time. I was a couple downlines below her and I remember feeling like she was unTOUCHABLE. Accountability for those that need/want to lose weight can be really uplifting, but not when there are ulterior motives. That's so gross.. to take advantage of people that are trying to find support to reach their health goals. Also.. "level up" and "lean in" are now two of the ickiest phrases I know now.
Your body goes through so many changes throughout your life that it’s often downright unhealthy to make your goal getting back to a previous weight. I’m four inches taller now than when I was in high school and should be literally scores of pounds heavier than I was back then. Just another reason that no one should ever take dietary advice from these people with zero qualifications to be dealing it out.

I grew up white blonde and went brown in college for a social experiment for a paper. It was impossible to not notice the difference -- I was whistled at a lot less, got doors held open for me a lot less, and the biggest difference: I suddenly started getting called on in classes, when before dyeing it, I could have my hand up the ENTIRE dang class and never get called on. It was like the professors thought I was stupid before and didn't want to waste time letting me talk. 😳 I was expecting to see no difference and thought that being treated as a "dumb blonde" wasn't a real thing that happens, but IT'S REAL which is CRAZY. I'm curious what your experience will be like! 😊
