I have a simple question regarding doing double leg takedown in MMA situation. Please don't crap on me for how simple it is. When my opponent has his left leg forward, what are the advantages and disadvantages of shooting for a double leg where my head goes to the right side of his body? Versus the left side of his body? Thank you.
You risk running into the rear knee shooting to the back leg, generally it's always safer striking wise to move to the outside away from the power side
If your left foot is forward your head will be on the right side and putting head of the inside would be the left.khbib shoots far hip all the time off his overhand it’s like an op 50/50 on a video game just risky running onto things
does anyone know what it's called when you do a double leg like this but as you drive into the hips you stand only on your left toes and bring your right foot around to sweep his right heel? It's a really effective takedown I've used a number of times but I've never seen anyone else use it. If you also use your hip while they are tripping you can get into side control.
@@dinopalavra876 Close but I'm talking about bringing the right foot all the way around both of his legs, like a step over in football. I think there's a judo takedown like it but the way I do it I drive my shoulder into their hips at the same time to generate the force with the trip so they go down.
Would be great to see this. Sounds like you go to an outside trip from the double leg maybe? Doing a different move, bringing your left foot round to trap the opponents left foot, some call it a reaper I think.
Keep your back straight, i.e. your head, neck, & shoulder vertically aligned as much as possible when charging at your opponent so it's hard for your opponent to wrap his arm around your neck. If your head & back are horizontal and your head reaches your opponent first, he can easily wrap his arm around your neck.
Use a power double instead. Change levels keep your head up. Hit the bottom center crest of the ribs with the forehead drive through. Just make sure you don't land in his full gard.
If you get caught in a guillotine, just finish the double, jump over his guard, take side control, and you can posture forward and up, or catch him in a Von Flue.
Look up, your head/neck should be pushed into their arm pit so they cant close their arm around ur head/neck also when pushing up/back ur head should be pushing to the side into their body
Covered all the essential points.. very good tutorial

I circle to the inside, transition to an inside single. Try to shoot a double on an experienced grappler on the outside and you will get guillotined.

Can you do this to someone whos not in a fighting stance and just standing there mouthing
Of course, you wouldn't have to worry which leg they have forward then
Yea if they aren’t in a stance it would probably be even better cause then you won’t have to stretch your arms
Forehead in stomach, grab behind the knees with each hand, drive and they will fall.
@@DragonballG. shoulder to stomach/pelvis
DragonballG nah, just look up and use that head against their body to drive them over. All in the technique.

@@fireblade2681 ik exactly what you’re talking about, but I don’t know the name. Only really works if your opponent doesn’t sprawl again all
@@fireblade2681 you're no longer allowed to grab legs in judo unfortunately

Inside trip? Major inner reap? I think I know what you’re talking about but I don’t know the words for it
Is that a Priit rashguard??
How to avoid guillotine?

whos here in 2020
will this work on my grandma
What Im always scared of being guillotine in the neck
Better yet, a SOLID knee to the solar plexus.
side control then von fluke.
Look up to the ceiling instead of looking down
@@peterjacksonanton4814 doesn’t that open up your neck, which makes it easier to guillotine you?
I wish someone turns that timer off someday
