The double leg can be trained with and without a training partner. This solo drill will help with the footwork required to perform the double leg as well as making for a great warm-up exercise.

How do I avoid not getting mat burns on my trail leg foot?

The knee on the foot u drag must be lil be higher than the mat i have less burns when its lil higher

Total beginner here. Anyone have any advice on dropping the lead knee into the mat?
My instinct is step with the lead, and on the drop, my back knee hits before anything.
Back knee shouldn’t hit the ground full stop. Practice being on the lead leg and falling onto that lead knee.

This is for wrestling mats but I agree this seems stupid for any other application

Then do a judo throw instead (if you‘re in a street fight)
You can just down your level and grap the legs but your taking a huge guillotine risk

Na you gotta do it in your own time. Which sucks coz 99% of people won't
Just do Judo. You'll get all the useful ground work plus throws.
