I think it all depends on what your opponent does. For me, if they try and torreando real hard I’ll invert onto my shoulders and spin into cross ashi attacks. If they step inside my legs I’ll false reap. Or wrestle up onto a single leg if they crowd me. They step to close lazily, I’ll go shin to shin. And so on. I have options for whatever they do. I think it’s important to stay flexible and rotate to different leg entanglements and wrestle ups as they present themselves n
I feel like if Tommy Langaker spent 6 months with Lachlan working on the 50/50 leg lock game, he could come out the otherside as one of the best no-gi players in the world... and he's already elite elite.
I like to play a system where I always have inside position. Ie: shin on shin, and butterfly halfguard. Are there any other guards I should focus on that go well with these two?

For getting to saddle from K Guard, you can go K-Guard --> X/Reverse X --> Saddle entry.
This is the exact style I have been attempting I’m just bad at it
Same!!! 😂😂😂😂
glad I am not alone lolz
Love watching these BJJ vid's man, details are on point, thanks! :)
The gi no GI debate becomes more acute now, inside or outside entries for legs

best defense
Is single leg x = to ashi
Ashi garami means leg entanglement, so any leg entanglement is Ashi. However most people use Ashi to mean single leg X and that meaning prevails.
🔥🔥🔥
And from halfguard?
your picture for "reverse x guard" is normal x guard
No

Thats my play style as well, I love using it to enter slx > reverse x > saddle entry
Yea exactly. I think it pairs well only with perhaps rdlr@@mraBJJ33

Sounds like you would like K guard.
Work on back takes alongside your leg lock game.
