For you guys who get "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" Boot up your phone and go to settings, Enable Developer options, go to dev options and UNCHECK "Auto update system", Then go to Date/time and uncheck "Auto date and time", Select a manual date (2 months back from today) Go to dev opt and be sure "OEM unlocking" is on. Turn off your phone, and boot into download mode and it should work. Hope this helps! it worked for me

After rooting successfully I cannot reboot nor shutdown because my rmm always turns back to prenormal so i cannot boot custom firmware... I tried not to reboot or shutdown but magisk always freeze, tried modified magisk 16.3 and also latest magisk with s9+ support both still freeze.

Still having issues? I can help. Sounds like you're skipping the wipe step. The full steps to install TWRP are as follows: -be on latest stock FW for your device -enable OEM unlocking -reboot to DL mode by holding voldown, bixby & power -flash TWRP TAR file through AP partition -reboot to TWRP -keep system read only once booted, then format -> wipe -> type yes and wait for it to complete -reboot to TWRP recovery through reboot menu -flash 0sm0sis disable dm-verity force encrypt zip -flash magisk -boot to system I've done these steps before myself to the letter & successfully rooted my S9 on March 1st security update Android Q.

the tutorial is very good, but i need help. I had problems with the rom, so I reinstalled the original rom. I took advantage and installed twrp and did root, called normal and with root working. I used magisk for permission of a fake gps app, but every time I restart it has an infinite loop on the screen unlock (going to the samsung name, operator symbol and back to samsung name), so I enter the twrp format and it opens the system again, but every time you restart I have to format it to start the system. Do you know anything that can help me? I'm Brazilian and your video helped me a lot. thank you very much.
@@annabelle8930 yes, but now I unrooted it because the root was only possibile with Android 9 and not Android 10. I attually wanted the last firmware I wanted the root not for many modules the first one I needed were iOS 13 emoji😑

You probably have the snapdragon/us variant of the the s9. This variant does not have the OEM unlock option, meaning no root currently for this phone. Don't use the root tool as it WILL brick your phone.
@@jerinjerome Your phone becomes as useless as a brick because the software is corrupted. It is possible in some cases to repair but could be expensive.

When performing critical tasks of this nature be very cautious as the information out-dates very quickly. Chances are your android version is newer than his and is reacting differently. Anyhow, you're not alone but I don't think you're going to have much luck with magisk until it's declared working on your android's version. Seek a different root method.
