I've found myself watching reactions to 2005 pride and prejudice recently for comfy vibes.. and unexpected benefit has been finding new youtubers I have never seen! Can't wait to watch this movie again through your eyes!
I do this too! Every couple of months I check to see if anyone has uploaded a reaction to P&P2005. It is pleasing to find others reacting to the same scenes that just bring laughter and giddiness. Also when they compliment the soundtrack and cinematography ❤
I'm older and still read P & P on a regular basis, too, but I absolutely hated the 2005 film. To me the 1995 mini series portrays the characters to perfection. Jane Austin's stories cannot be improved upon and it is impertinence for someone to even try. Matthew and Keira may be good actors but to me they are NOT Darcy and Elizabeth, too lightweight I think
All the sisters have been in many things since this. As you said Rosamund Pike (Jane) was in Gone Girl, Lydia was in Hunger Games among other things, Kitty is in The Great Gatsby and Promising Young Woman, and Mary as others said was married to Elon Musk and I personally liked her best in St Trinians Personally I never cared for that final scene. It was only included in the American release because the studio thought American audiences needed it. The British cut ends after Lizzie leaves her father's study and he is chuckling
oh wow!! I had no clue that that last scene wasn't originally included, how interesting! 🤔 also so fun to see how successful all those actresses are! 🩶
I agree. That last scene is so very NOT Austen-esque that I cringe hard every time. It's too jarring and *modern* after the gentle love story just built.
It's worth reading the book as an adult, especially after watching the movie (or series - my favorite from 1996 with Colin Firth). I "read" book in high school that I revisited later in life . And I have to say that Jane Austin's prose really gives me a lot of enjoyment when I am imagining the character of Mr. Darcy.
Found your channel looking for One Day reactions, and I'm now going through your backlog. Love your reactions, keep up the good work with your channel. :)
I love all about Pride and Prejudice! I've read the book and watched every version of it available onTV.. even the one with the zombies 😅😂😂 don't judge me 😂😂 it's very entertaining! SO it was so much fun re-watching it with you once again) *Also it's funny that you recognized President Snow right away, but didn't realize that you know Lidia from the same movie as well😉
I know some ppl don't care for that final scene, but I love it so much! Fun fact: the kiss on the lips was actually unplanned. That was totally done in the spur of the moment at the actors' discretion (you can see Darcy's actor silently asking her permission by placing his thumb by her lips to signal his intention).
I love this movie. This was a great reaction. And btw, if you are serious or not about not being married at 27, I didn’t get married until I was 36. Took me that long to figure me out and my husband. We have been married for 17 years. Have two amazing children and it’s good. That’s my story. It’s different for all of us. Can’t wait until the next reaction.
Ahhh thank you for this! I honestly can’t even remember if I actually read the book or am misremembering maybe something I heard! Either way, I loved this film! 🩶
I have been watching a lot of these reactions. Loved yours! I saw one, where, when the Misses Bennett and the daughters are at Bingley's house on the couch. All of them are all fluffy and in bonnets, except Mary, who is in dark clothing. One reactor said, "oh, god, there's always a Goth one in the family, isn't there?" Cracked me up.
Loving your reactions. Missing your shadow hunter reactions could you may be in in a few years time do a second watch and we can be mad. Magnus and Alex stands together
I'm so happy to hear you are enjoying them!! I miss shadow hunters as well!! that would be fun for sure, I'll also be watching some crack videos and edit videos on the channel soon for shadow hunters so look out for those! 🩶
@@ryannrodkey5669 it is all the scenes where the movie is playing and you are not talking. I am trying to ignore it. Your reaction was very nice otherwise!
idk if someone has ever said this to you but you look like you belong in a fantasy movie/game, like you have this elf or fairy kinda look idk how to explain (this is a compliment!)
I don't think you understand what you've just done to me 🤣 this is quite literally the best compliment I could be given when it comes to looks 😭 ohmygoodness, I love you for this 🩶 but also, thank you so much, that's such a nice thing to say!!
Hey great reaction Mr Collins came to see his property.Thats why he was there early. As annoying as Mrs bennet sometimes is she’s got her heart in the right place. She wants to make sure all her daughters are wed and looked after before their father died since. Unfortunately they have no brothers to look after them. Also, I recently found out that Jane Austen‘s own brother, married one of their cousins, which is whythere are some cousins being the love entrance to some of the heroines or trying to get with the heroines in some of the books
Mr.Collins had no real ill intentions when he visited the Bennet's. He didn't come to ''see his property'', he was sent by Lady Catherine to get a wife. And it was his idea to try to quench the feud between Mr.Bennet and Mr Collins' father over the entail that he thought marrying one of his cousins would act as an olive branch and make so the Bennet ladies would still have a home should Mr.Bennet died. Two birds one stone.
thank you so much for watching! totally makes sense with Mrs. Bennett and understandable that she wanted them all married off but I'm so happy that Mr. Bennett didn't make Lizzie marry Mr. Collins, that's for sure!! Also, thanks for that fun fact about Jane Austen's brother! I had no idea! 🩶
My aunt she had daughter 's 5 girl's Nina tell a story me think really talk cousin nina smile cool "pride and prejudice " . Nina husband he really cool ? I don't tell. Milo Ventimiglia's twin talk ask meet me really a date story?
For me personally, that is not at all true. I have a pretty bad memory. This ranges from books to movies to literal life events and memories. I get very invested in what I’m watching or reading while I am but with how much I read and watch other things get pushed out of my brain. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t invested or interested in the story while I was reading it. Trust me- I would love nothing more than to be able to remember my favorite stories forever, but it takes lots of rewatching or rereading for me to just remember everything about it, regardless of how much I enjoyed it! I mean take this film for instance- I only watched this last year and would be able to tell you certain things and not other things about it- but I can remember the feeling I got while watching it and have happiness associated with it! Not everyone’s brains work the same way 🩶

It's my comfort movie too, love watching people's reactions to it. 💖
I'm doing exactly this right now
same! blessed by the algorithm on this one 🙏

I'm 56 and P&P is still my go-to book when I'm feeling depressed. It always cheers me up!

It's too bad, Jena Malone should be known from "Saved!" more than anything else. Why is it that so many good movies fly under the radar?
Wasn't "Lydia" in Cold Mountain as well?
I think you need it. You need to see the Two together at the end.

oooooh I do love Colin firth 🤔🤣 this book is in a stack next to my bedside table, maybe I'll have to crack it open! 🩶

Ahhh thank you so much for watching along with me!! That’s so kind and I hope you enjoy! 🩶🩶
The fact that Mary Bennett is Elon Musks ex and also the uber hottie from Westworld. Insanity how many famous people were in this movie.
Wait- NO WAY 🤣🤣 I had no idea that’s who that was! 🫢 incredible!
@ryannrodkey5669 yeah I mean everyone is uber hot ... but I think she played Angela the host with William on the train.

it's so good!! truly! lmao ikr!? at the end I was like.... 🤔 wait just a minute, I think I know her from the same exact thing 🤣
I’ll watch every reaction to this movie out there 😂
Reading the book right after actually goes so great
it's so great! I can't believe I hadn't seen it until now!! I should totally read the book! 🩶
me too.
Wonderful channel. I'm marathoning all the reactions. Don't stop doing this work, it's really good
Thank you so much! This means a lot!! 🩶
Amy Dunne is the character in Gone Girl. The actress is Rosamund Pike. Also in the Wheel of Time show, playing Moirraine.

oh wow! I had no idea that the kiss was unplanned! what a cool fact to know when watching it back! 🩶
In an interview, Keira said that he is irresistible.
I loved this reaction sooo much!!!! 😍😍❤❤
Thank you so much for watching!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 🩶
Not just President Snow but Joanna too 😂
right!? idk how I completely blanked on that until the end 🤣

Awh what a beautiful story!! Thank you for sharing that with me!! 🩶🩶

Wonderful romance, great ending, one of my favorite movies.
totally agree! this is a new favorite for sure and such an enjoyable love story! 🩶
Loved the ending💕 🥺💞
We definitely gonna need any pictures of that cake on your birthday😂😂
Omg of course!!! 🤣🩶
Life still holds surprises for you. Serendipity.
Спасибо, было интересно посмотреть на Вашу реакцию. 💖
Amei seu react. Assisto esse fillme toda semana e ainda choro na cena da chuva e neste final maravilhoso dos beijos dele. Sou do Brasil. Beijos.
Joanne from Hunger Games plays Lydia
And her dad in the movie is President Snow
Random factoid, Rosamund Pike and Simon Woods had dated previously. Both were asked if they were comfortable with it and luckily they both were.
Very interesting!
The culture back in the day if they aren’t married young they are considered spinsters.
I hope you do a reaction to the 1995 Persuasion if you haven't seen it yet. My favourite Austen adaptation to this day. ❤
oooh I'll totally look into that! 🩶

Where is rhe rainfall sound coming from?
is there a certain part of the video? I think it may just be the central heat being picked up on camera!

@@ammaleslie509 ah yes then it is the air of the house! sorry about that!
Watch Atonement it’s directed by Joe Wright. It’s AMAZING
I'll absolutely have to check that out! 🩶
Favorite Kiera Knightley movie after P&P, I love Atonement
Oh, Atonement is so heart wrenching.

Sad you could read pride and not remember anything. It showed you were not very interested in the story. When you’re not invested, you don’t remember.
