I am struggling with the beach worms, the slightest pressure and they vanish. Its a good job I live on a long beach as the language hasn't been the best!

Hi Roger. I'm enjoying your videos from Ireland. I live beside and fish off a 5km long beach(sand spit) with a large estuary behind. A lot of the beach is a very gradual gradient in decline into the ocean. In the estuary I know that I can dig fairly big red ragworm. While i know if i go at the right stage of the tide and look for signs in the muddy sand they are easy to find.... but a lot of digging required. To me they look similar to a king worm although usually not more than 30cm in length.
Do you think the ragworm here would also be present in the sand exposed to the ocean waves? And would they poke their heads up attracted to Atlantic mackerel?
I'm going to give it a try when I've a chance but have never heard of or seen anyone attempting this technique in Ireland.

Hi Tim, it's worth a try. What you call rag worm seem a lot like our blood worms that also only grow to 30cm. They are excellent bait.

The family was encouraged by you to participate, and they were enthusiastic learners, but you appeared to discourage the boys from asking questions as soon as they felt confident enough to ask one.

Hi Roger, my name is Rajan from Durban in South Africa.I am an avid fisherman.
I must convey my heartfelt thanks for your educational and fishing videos.
However, kindly take note that you do not have to wade in the water to fight a fish, purely in the interest for your personal safety.
Kindly forward me with your email address,as I would love to have a fishing session with you when I decide to visit family and friends in Australia.
    Blessings upon you Roger.Amen.Impressive Sir.
