    Hi Roger,
    1st of all thank you so much for this page! I've not long ago turned 30yr old and just got into fishing. I never had anyone to show me the ropes growing up but your channel has really helped me develop my fishing game, beach fishing especially.
    I do have an idea for a new video that you may or may not be interested in? Could you please do a video on the do's and don’ts of what to do when your line/rig gets caught up in rocks or gets tangled in seaweeds? It's a persistent problem I seem to face and there doesnt seem to be much solid info online. I hope you can help!
    Thanks again sir!

    You're a true legend Roger.
    I like to surf fish for Australian Salmon in Victoria and have done so for the past 40 years.
    I love the way you explain your tips and techniques but I have never tried fishing for Salmon with beach worms nor have I ever seen anyone look for them in Victoria! Can you or anyone reading this tell me if we have those massive beach worms in Victoria?
    Keep up the great work and tight lines 🎣

    Awesome fishing Roger. I love that you are catching salmon close in like that. 98% of my catch is snapper using a drone, but salmond (kahawai) is my favourite as it smokes so well. I would love to look you up when I visit Australia in February next year. I am going to purchase a new rig similar to yours and try your technique at my local beaches.

    I bought some soft plastic fake beach worms. I also caught some live beach worms. I fished with the live worms and I was pulling in bream and dart. I switched to the plastic, I was getting back fake bait with bites taken out of it. Switched back to live worms and started pulling in the fish again. I think a lot of lures are made to catch fishermen, not fish.

    Guday Roger, I have enjoyed your videos, fishing on the beach. I want to ask why aren't there any boats in the back ground ? Are the beach's where you fish way out in the boonies ? If so do you think that add's to your success's. I have been fishing across the bay from N.Y., at a beach by the name of Sandy Hook, in New Jersey, U.S.A. but haven't been able to catch anything. I have been watching you catch a silver fish that has long spines, is that the same as a porgy in the U.S. ? I am trying to catch Fluke a good eating fish hear, but I haven't been able to get one. Thank You Very Much for your videos, Felix

  • @alberthabib4220
    @alberthabib4220 ปีที่แล้ว

    A mistake I see many younger fishers make, in their effort and excitement to bring in their catch, is that they skull drag the fish with tight drag, no allowance is made for the fish to drag out line and tire themselves out. They are so focused on bringing in their catch that even trying to talk them through the exercise is useless- they don't/can't hear the advice. P.S. I like your videos and your advice is sound. As an old time fisher, I appreciate the knowledge you share with other fishers. There's no sense having knowledge if you don't share it.

    Roger I've noticed that taking the nippers off the crab seems to lead to good results. When I was kid i used to use small rock crabs for Bream fishing and with the nippers on I'd get no bites as soon as the nippers were off i'd clean up. With groupers and other big fish it doesn't matter, but I've never used crabs on the beach, i usually only use Pillies, worms, squid and cockles. I use a berley spring with home made berley with curry/garlic powder, aniseed oil and a berley bag with old prawn heads and bits from dinners. It brings everything in, unfortunately some undesirable species, but mostly target species

    When fishing paddle tales do not keep on jerking the rod up and down. Just wynding and keep changing the speed you retrieve ur lure. When you jerk the rod up and down it makes the lure not act naturally and that's why fish follow the lure and not take it.
