    Great vid is it Fraser? Is there a way to identify gutters at high tide also?

    • @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing
      @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Teewah Beach. It’s definitely easier around the low tide. But you’ll definitely be able to see the gutters on high tide

  • @bp8764
    @bp8764 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So scout for your drain at low tide, but wait to fish it at high tide? Is it a good rule of thumb to always fish at high tide?

    Unfortunatly in Victoria it's illigal to drive on our beaches so all our observations are from road distance and usually a long walk down to a fishing spot.

    • @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing
      @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s unfortunate. The way things are headed it’ll be the same for us.

  • @nolixss694

    Hey mate, is it any good to fish the ‘outer shoal’, behind and around where the waves start to form? I’d imagine it’d be impossible to cast that far. Can you let me know if it’s any good to fish there if you can?

    • @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing
      @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nolixss yep it is but your right it’s a long cast most of the time. Chevy put distance casting on TH-cam. Some great tips on how to go that bit further.

  • @ticktock8993
    @ticktock8993 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Drones find everything thing even the schools of fish. To find a hole you can see the mind by the water is very slopped on surf beaches. . And you get big mulloway Jewish out of them in South Australia 👍

  • @grandwonder5858
    @grandwonder5858 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What’s the difference between the “drain” and the “gutter?”

    • @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing
      @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gutter is the valley between the two banks and it will turn and drain at some point back out. The drain is also referred to as the rip.

    Put red arrows in as to WHERE TO FISH! After all, we're after the fish, more importantly, as we read the tide. Then I'll subscribe.

  • @MikeSmith-wg6nn
    @MikeSmith-wg6nn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I understand pretty much everything that you’re saying but when you do your arrows why don’t you say cast here or this is where I would cast is in this section of this section right here is where I would cast if you could point to those spots will have a better idea of where are you and cast that would help us cast there to

    What the hell is a cresting wave?

    • @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing
      @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A crest point on a wave with the maximum value of upward displacement within a cycle. A crest is a point on a surface wave where the displacement of the medium is at a maximum. A trough is the opposite of a crest, so the minimum or lowest point in a cycle.
