    Just got to say thank you for all your videos. You have been the "go-to-guy" when it comes to Lian Lis hardware. As good as your videos are I cannot say that Lian Li does so great when it comes to quality control. I have had to RMA two of their AIOs (currently waiting on a replacement pump for the Trinity Performance) due to mechanical failure (Galahad failed within the first 6 months of use, my new Trinity Performance failed within 8 days of use - the pump would not turn on when the pc was booted up). Now I am waiting on my THIRD control box for the strimers. The first one had a manufacturing flaw with the micro usb connector - the connector inside the controller was not placed properly and was offset so the cable could not connect. They sent me a replacement and the replacement had the same issue but also the little tab within the connector was flat against the bottom of the connector housing and was seemingly broken. I am currently waiting for another replacement. Their quality control is very poor.

      @KleoYan  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Unknown Comic, welcome to my channel and thank you for your valuable feedback I can't really comment much about the quality as I do use them with care, I do know the cables are flimsy and LEDs will go anytime. That's why in some of content, I will tell my viewers to be extra careful with removing them. As for misalignment, I do not have this issue, maybe most products are QC checked before allowd to sell in my country. We have this policy, goods sold are not refundable at shops. Speaking of which, you might want to comment at Lian Li Reddit forum. At least there are a group of Lian Li stuff reading it. They might not reply but they do listen and to improve on.

    Hi, great reviews/guides of Lian-li products! At 6:30 you mention that the Cooler Master PSU has only 2 8-pin conectors, so you can't illustrate on that PSU... But you can clearly see that there are 4 PCI 8-pin connnectors. So, you can use one for the CPU power, and 3 for the GPU power. Am I missing something?

    Hello, Kleo! Big fan of your very comprehensive videos! I am at the middle of buying my pc parts and would be going for a MSI 4090 Gaming X Trio paired with Corsair's RM 1000x Shift which already has the power cables to support the 4000 series GPU. I'd just like to ask your opinion, with the issues of melting 4090s, would you still suggest using the strimer cables? Also, among these three Strimers, what should I use for the MSI 4090 Gaming X Trio?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Ziinev, welcome to my channel. I have done numerous of builds using the strimer plus V2 and have not heard or gotten any feedback that the cable will melt with a 4090 GPU.
      Having a closer ook at your PSU. it is not PCI-E 5.0 ready, I highly recommend to purchase this strimer plus V2 (3×8-PIN to 12+4-PIN 8 light guides) and the connection as follow
      - PSU 3 x 8pin cable to the Strimer plus V2 (3 x 8pin) connector, next at the other end of the strimer plus v2 (12+4 Pin) to your GPU.
      I do not recommend this type of connection as there are too many breaking connection points
      - PSU 3 x 8pin to GPU 3 x 8pin > GPU 12+4pin to Strimer plus v2 (12+4pin) and another end to your GPU.

    • @Ziinev-bt4ur
      @Ziinev-bt4ur 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much for the clarification. This brought light to my worries for the 4090, as well as the confusion that the strimer and the PSU cables have brought upon me. However, is the Corsair RM 1000x Shift not PCIE5 ready? As per their website, it's ATX 3.0 and PCIE5 ready. Or perhaps did you misread it as the other Corsair RMx 1000?

      From PSU the 3 x 8pin to 12+4 pin > plug to 1st end of Strimer Plus V2 (12+4-PIN to 12+4-PIN) > the 2nd end of the Strimer Plus V2 (12+4-PIN to 12+4-PIN) > plug to your GPU.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi NeverenCH, welcome to my channel. The best practice is to do this
      now take note of the legend *
      * Original PSU 3x8 pin Cable (Point 1 and Point 2)
      * First end of Strimper plus V2 3x8pin (Point A) and 2nd end of Stimer plus V2 12+4pin (Point B)
      1) Plug PSU 3x8 pin cable to your PSU (Point 1)
      2) Plug PSU 3x8 pin cable (Point 2) to Strimer Plus V2 3x8pin (Point A)
      3) Plug Strimer plug V3 (Point B) to GPU 12VHPWR connector.
      is best to do it this way even your GPU only requires 2 3x8pin. You dont have to worry if you plug 3 3x8pin as the GPU will only draw what's needed from the PSU.

      Hi Stevie Watt, welcome to my channel. It will be better to provide 100% current off from a reel, which will not draw on the ampere thought pigtail. Some GPU draws alot of current / ampere, that's why to prevent mishaps, it's better to do single reel to a single 8pin on your GPU.
