Hey man I really enjoyed this, you can relax on the full on push it’s really informative and you can take ur time explaining each cable. Great job. Helped me with my pc.
The power motherboard connectors: It doesn't matter which way you plug in the power and reset switch headers they will work either way. The LEDs however if plugged in the wrong way won't light up but this won't destroy the LEDs. If there is no lights when you power on your PC just switch it off and plug them in the other way and they will be fine. And don't daisy chain more than 4 fans to one motherboard fan header as there won't be enough voltage.
Holy crap. I've spent hours trying to figure out what I did wrong. I searched up and down and couldn't figure out the problem and after God knows how long, I found it. I swapped the damn power and reset plugins.
This was super helpful. I do still have a question. Where does the other side of the two 8 pin CPU power plug connect? Is it directly to the PSU or does it connect somewhere on the motherboard?
radiator cable of the AIO [Silverstone XE360-TR5] is 3 pin but the motherboard [ASUS PRO WS WRX90E-SAGE SE] has only a 4 pin W-PUMP, there is no 3 pin at all on the motherboard
When I did my build, I get everything mostly right, but there were 2 cpu fans sockets and the AIO pump socket on the M/B. I plugged the AIO fan cluster into one of the cpu fan sockets, only to find the BIOS reporting that I didn't have a CPU fan installed!? But it did recognize the secondary CPU fan as being connected. So I took everything apart, unplugged the CPU fan, then plugged it straight back into the secondary fan socket... yeah, still didn't work right. Eventually I managed to remember which socket was for the primary CPU fan, and everything was up and running in short order.
I got NZXT H9 flow case with that F panel plug. It only has 4 pins on the top none at the bottom seems similar to this video. My case will not power up do to the other pins missing.
Thanks for that! Very helpful. Got a question though. My m/b has a "PD_PWR" connector which connects to a 6 pin (well 8 pin with two pins at one end blocked off) "PCIE/CPU" connector on the PS. What is this used for? This is an MSI m/b and Corsair PS. Maybe PD stands for "power distribution", maybe? Thanks!
genuine question, I have a ryzen 5 3500 and 1650 super but i am upgrading and having a hard time figuring out to what yet. I thought about it and saw some bench marks on the 4070 and ryzen 5 5600x (was also thinking about the 5800X3D) they were pretty good, but i also saw a combo for ryzen 7 7700x with a motherboard and wifi for around 500 but I don't have the ddr5 ram. If I were to get the combo I am going to pair it with the 6800. Should I stick with the old AM4 platform or go to the new AM5 platfom.
I have no extra cables for rgb and all the fans are connected to this line this on the back which is connect to the sata cable and my fans are not lighting up. Help?
How do I connect my case fans to the motherboard?? I think I knlw which one is the fan chord but the chird is so short it doen't reach it also does plugging 1 fan connect all??
im building my first pc and im curious can i plug in an rgb fan header also my power for my case and an ssd all to one sata power cable or should i plug those into three seperate sata power cables?
i like your presentation but i need more detail.how to read bluprint every mother board wiering and wich plug go where.i used old case with gigabyte 650,the mothe board had difrent lable then old board,i had to ges with front panell and fans, gigabyte blueprint has no god detail, how to identify cables and how to test them if they work properly.i turn the computer off and fan is steel glowing.i have to turn power swich off.there are 3 fan plugs, how i know which is which.it is working now i do not wonet to tuch anything on bord now.
what if my pc was turned off but my psu was still turned on and at the rams full speed it would have weird video glitches but just under its mhz (3533) it would be find, and then i got a new gpu which didn't work under load and just made my pc restart, was it my psus fault? and did leaving the psu on while adding the ram break my psu?
I’ve just build my first pc and I’ve got a pci gen 4 psu with a 4080 super? Should I buy an extension cable for the Gpu or will it be fine to keep the existing cables.
Bruhv thank you I was looking for hours took my whole pc apart looking for the other front panel connectors and they don’t exist I have the all in one front panel 😂
Panicking here over cables! I'm at the CPU. I found 8-pin cables, BUT NO 4-pin CABLES!!! Then I noticed the 8-pin cable can split. So do I put in the left side of the split? the right side? Split 2 from one side, 2 from the other and put in the middle? HEEEEEELP! 😓😓
I find it amazing that there isn’t a block connector for all the front panel switches and connectors. Why the hell am I placing on single wire connectors!?!? Can you say standardization. 🤷♂️
When i built my first pc I remember I has such a big problem with fans and rgb. I could have used this. I had to pay a computer shop $100 for just 10 minutes of wiring. It was ridiculous.
@Geekawhat i wanted to thank you for all the great content, ive seen all your videos, i just wanted to ask for another live build with @PCCENTRIC, I really enjoyed it...we need more of it...god bless and hope this carries on.
No way, you’ve uploaded this god send just at the time of me building my first PC
How does it run? My parts are all ordered and arriving soon!! I’m no hyoe
Literally have all my parts now and have been worried to get started but this just saved my day! Will be building it this week! Wish me luck y’all!
How did your build go ?
@@NickBaldonado-on7ie it blew up
I'm building mine right now. I hate cords.
Thank u soooo much for this video i needed it

I'm building my first right now and I'm stuck. Just need to figure out how to connect cables.😢

I just bought a pc and this video is so helpful. Thank you
Actually very well put together vid, especially for beginners but even vets alike that need a refresh with the new hardware thats come out keep it up

That bit about power sw ports fixed it. Thanks a million!
Fantastic video, thank you mate you dropped this 👑
Thank you so much! I went through hours of wondering and now my PC seems to work!
not enough people talk about the actual fan wiring tbh
This is a really helpful video! Thank you!
thank you so much!! i finished my first ever pc build yesterday and you really helped me figure things out :))
Im new to gaming pc, is it ok to turn off psu after shutting down pc?
@Duckciety ok thanks, when I googled it some say yes some says no so I got a little confused
yes if its all off
Very nice vid🎉
Absolutely great guide. So helpful, and funny as well.
good video! i had so many motherboard and power supply cables that i had no idea what do with and this video helped me tell which cables are which.
This just helped me out to figure out my messy cables! 🙏
does a cpu come with the cabels or do i need to but them seperate?
awesome thank you
If the motherboard does not have USB4, is there any way you can have it added?
Does it matter which sata cable is used (my psu has a whole bunch of extra ones)
No. They're all the same SATA power cables.
Holy crap. I've spent hours trying to figure out what I did wrong. I searched up and down and couldn't figure out the problem and after God knows how long, I found it. I swapped the damn power and reset plugins.
This video is goated bro. I was stuck with the little cables and this video explained very good even if i do not share any of the components.
Exactly what I have been looking for.
Actual godsend, thankyou so much dude.

Thanks for doing this video. Just doing my first build and it’s helped big time 👍
What a perfect tutorial.
I bought my case just today, Does Power cord come separately? The one you connect the Pc to the outlet, Mine doesnt have one
Amazing video. Answering questions I didn't even think to ask. Now I know that those m2 locks are for ssd drives.
did not help me at all omg
Bro fr he just talks about all the cables. Look at ur motherboard guide and see where shit goes then watch a guide on rgb and fans
You're just dumb if you don't understand
Or type your model in search and search for installation tips😊

Do I have to buy cables for the parts or they come with them?
They will come with them
Sir, what is the brand of that case?
King 95 pro from montech
@Spider-man_in_a_frying_pan Thanks! ♥️
does cables you need come with
the components?
for some yes but your motherboard gpu and cpu they don't
Please do a video for that same montech king 95 pro RGB hub and an AIO 360mm RGB fans.
Do cables come with the PSU?
yes
Do cases or motherboards come with f cables or any cables in general?

Is it possible to use a 3 pin dc fan cable into a 4 pin
Great tutorial
Where do i put my 3 pin fan cables? You didnt specify
You put them in the 4 pin slot but make sure the plastic lines on your fan plug slide into the plastic bit on the motherboard
I plugged in the hdd led and the power switch cables but it still won’t turn on I don’t know what’s wrong 😢

i have a I7-14700k would one 8pin be enough for the cpu?
if you have two 8 pins use them both
