    That's some brief and exact information about terminal 1. Regrets for your vape bro. Ever since I have read about vape ban in SIN, I am thinking what should I do for my three day tour because my next destination is Australia which is relatively good for vapers.

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you can get one that you can dismantle into different pieces and store them separately and not in the same place.
      They scan your bags for something that looks like a vape. I would even get a tank that you can put into separate pieces. Once you done that you should be fine. Dont vape in Singapore though. :)

      I can recommend everything in Singapore. easy to navigate and to get where you want with the MRT. The Garden by the sea is great. Loved it. Get a ticket a for both of these houses as these have a different setting. one is more a plain landscape. the other one a rainforest with rainfall. Little India over Little China. But both are great for sightseeing. for shopping defo Mustafa shopping centre. Its not the typical highstreet mall. Its just like everything and has an all you can eat Indian restaurant on the top floor. Singapore airport also has a cinema. you might want to use it as well. Clark quay and Boat quay for strolling around and to get a pitcher of beer. We Germans do love our beer, don't we? :)

    This is very bad news for my wife who is a smoker ( I am not ) . So even in the big suitcase you can not bring any cigarettes? We will be in a Singapore-Bali trip for 11 days, and a pack of cigarettes in our country is 4 EUR, and here 23USD (huge price) . Good information, thank you

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure what exactly you are asking. if you want to use your home credit or debit card and the S$: not a problem. If you want to use cash and exchange it to S$: I have not seen such a facility.
      with cash: I would exchange only a small amount at the airport and change the rest later in the city.
      with ATM: it doesnt matter were you use them as the echange rate is not set by the ATM (unless you chose direct currency conversion, which you should never ever do!)

    • @matthewpham1761
      @matthewpham1761 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use international bank card, like HSBC or Standard Chartered, they will probably offer cheaper service charge or free. If you use their own ATM, but subject to local conversion rate and charges. As my understand, need to be activated at your own location before travelling.

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you have any kind of credit card with you and can show the available balance you will be fine with no cash at all. As long as you dont look like the last hippie that got lost for 4 years in the jungle they will most likely not ask to proof available money. You already paid the airfare which means that you have some money anyway.

Which airlines use to determine at check-in if you need a specific visa or travel document. You can use for example the one from United Airlines, regardless if you fly with them or not. www.united.com/web/en-US/apps/vendors/default.aspx?i=TIMATIC

At lest in Singapore you only risk to lose your vape. There is no fine when caught at customs. Not sure what the fine will be when caught on the street.

      A Singaporean here. I know this is late but for future visits, you can install Grab from Google Play. Grab is the SEA version of Uber. Just an account with your google account and add in money either by Visa or Mastercards or pay the driver using SGD cash. grab is pretty handy when you're travelling around Singapore if you dont wish to use the public transport.

    The guy illegally films in the immigration line and then in the customs office and yet he chastises the other guy who tried to cut him off in the immigration line. Now, that’s chutzpah. And in Singapore breaking the law usually comes with series repercussions.
