    I stopped overnight a few years ago in Cookeville, and had breakfast, too. Met some great people, and they didn't hold it against me that I was from California.

      I live about an hour south of Cookeville. Its a neat area. I used to do a lot of hiking in the Sparta / Cookeville area. My sons in laws are from California, they are AWESOME people. So much fun to hang out with.

    I went with the same tail lights but I did some research long before I actually installed em. That research was pretty much watching this video. I watched this video 3 years ago but didn't install the lights until last year. Made sure I had the flasher relay and everything. Only issue I've had is I've had to replace the flasher what looks to be every 6 months (I'll update in another 4 months to let ya know) as eventually it altogether either stays on or doesn't come on at all then the turn signal on. It also doesn't flash at a normal pace all the time. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower than I'd like. Otherwise I'm happy with em. Oh I also weren't with a license plate relocaor to the tailgate and took my spare off. I'm gonna convert the tailgate to a drop down eventually so I'll have to rewire to make that work.

    Thank you so much for such a clear and informative video. I just picked up my YJ and the previous owner changed to LED. They've messed up the wiring pretty good. I'm pretty new and had no idea how I was going to diagnose this. Thank you so much for the details you provided! Heading out to try it now 🤞

    hey love the videos I'm new to Jeep and got a 89 YJ had to replace the output shaft seal on the transfer case tonight and discovered a trick with the lighting inside the cab just for s**** and grins I took my under the hood Blue Point LED rechargeable light and I know I tried it inside the cab about the bars and it fits in their perfect clears the soft top with it on you can aim it towards the front snot in your eyes lights up the whole cab you can turn it and then you can light up the whole back of the Jeep awesome awesome idea all you got to do is recharge it when it needs charged if you break down on the road you got a light for under your hood I'll take a picture of it and try to post it on here later on tomorrow when there's light out but I think it's awesome idea it lights up the whole cab and service multiple purposes

    Here you are again, Chuck. Helping me out with replacing my YJ stock tail lights assembly. You cover things the way most of us look at things that we're not doing every darn day. Is LL552 flasher similar to EL-12 which is often recommended when some of the lights using the flasher are LED??

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad the video helped you! I try to be thorough, it makes my videos a bit long sometimes. My first priority has always been to help people. I later switched to the EF32RL flasher that has the ground wire. It is much more consistent and as you add more LEDs it handles it much better. Here is the link to that flasher: amzn.to/3y59eCH

    Great video. I got a pair of very similar LED tail lights for my '99 TJ and am having a problem. They are LED tail light/brake light/back up light/and license plate light all in one. They have 3 wires and a ground coming out the back, so 4 total I've wired them up per the diagram and grounded them to the tub using the mounting bolts. My problem is that whenever I turn on my headlights or press on the brakes, all the lights in unit turn on - brake and reverse lights. I even tried different wiring combinations to and its the same no matter what combination I do. Any thoughts?

    They have lights where you don't have to change anything! The products are the problem! I was told that about my head lights and no issue because of the components they wire inside! I pray to God I can get some led lights without moding anything!!!!!! Cheers! We know how hard this work is!

    I clicked on your Fix Jeeps website but the tail light info isnt there. It takes you to amazon but thats it! The tail lights i havent bought already like i did the headlights! Are the tail back together lights Partsam-131703? How much do they cost $35 up? Did you do the 3rd brake light? I have the 3rd brake light above the spare tire, was wondering if there was a matching lens for the 3rd brake light?
    I also wanted to ask what ALL would cause the mpg to go from 14mpg to 11mpg...2wks later..11mpg to 9mpg and 2 wks go by and its only getting 7mpg now! I have replaced the vacuum lines, TPS, IAC, exhaust manifold gasket, spark plugs, distributer cap & rotor, fuel pump and 02 oxygen sensor over a 10 mth period! Now i had my my fuel pump changed cause it went out but after everything was back together my gas gauge is reading 3/4 tank when its completely full. Im wondering if i have to pull the tank or if i can get away with pulling the hose that is inside the gas tank & cutting some off? Those issues i been tackling for almost a darn yr now, im about worn out on it.....lol

    I just wired some in yesterday. When I put the last one in and peel over the stuff protects the lens during shipping. The lens came off in my hands. It fell a part but I got some super glue and put it back together. I did contact the seller online and told them. Got it from eBay.

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make sure you seal them well or they will take on moisture behind the lens. I cracked one of mine about a month after installing them, I accidentally hit it with a driveshaft. Every since it will occasionally get condensation build up behind the lens. Thanks for checking ou the video and taking the time to leave a great comment! Have a great day!

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you checked your bulbs? All light functions for each tail light share the same ground. So, not ruling out a ground. It is just more possible you could have other issues. Check the contacts inside the tail light, they are really prone to corrosion. Good luck! Have a great day!

    Hello there! I'm new to Jeep and I got a 95 Jeep Wrangler. I will do the upgrade in a couple of weeks but I got the LED lights with the plug and play, do you think I have to extra work for this?

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If its a plug and play install, it should be really easy. The only issue you "might" have is either your flashers will either stay on solid or flash very fast. If it does either one of those here is the relay you will need: amzn.to/2iWPjSp . You can also pick up a relay at any auto parts store. In the store, it may not look the same, just make sure the package says for LED somewhere. Good luck! Have a great day!

      I've had that for many years! One day I stuffed it full of tools and threw it on the Jeep. Been there every since .. lol. Makes a great tool to hold the brake pedal down :-)

      @Poweraddicts  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Either you got the wrong flasher or a bulb bad somewhere.

    • @ariash18able
      @ariash18able 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      same here. i got the exact same flasher. but my turn signal would stop a times and also flicker sometimes. i had to put back the original that still seems to work okay with a combination led and old light bulbs.

      Neither one of my rigs have that plastic piece in them or I'd make a video showing how to remove them.

      @@Poweraddicts Its basically the fuel pressure regulator, I didn't remove it because of the rust issue would have been impossible to put back in. I ended up get a long rench extender, It was more difficult then putting a new fender on.

    Hey, we chatted a few times about YJ's. I did a video a few months back just showing the quadratec kit that you can pick up. It may be good to note to your subs that the kit that I picked up does not require splicing of the wires. Great install vid BTW. Always look forward to your uploads. It's plug and play. Here's the vid of them in action: th-cam.com/video/9v-0dCGDEpk/w-d-xo.html
