redical reggie is the mos5 inspirational playstation guy i know on youtube. love to meet you man but australia is so far and expensive to travel. you should do a collab with woody
I love how Reggie has all these insanely expensive games but games on a tailgating lawn chair and has a car that barely runs. Hahaha never change Reggie. You’re the man.
Big difference between barely runs and doesn't run. I've had a few cars that were basically junk yet never left me stranded yet I've had some that were rather expensive and constantly had something needing fixing with parts costing more than some whole cars that ran for years with zero problems... 😆
I'm 33 years old and had almost every single one of these epic games. Back then my tiny room was overflowing with games and eventually I had to sell my entire collection for what amounts to nothing. Yes, I have regrets. -__-
Tales of Destiny 2 (aka - Tales of Eternia) is amazing. I own a legit copy and it's easily my favorite game in the series. Vesperia and Berseria are easily my number 2 and 3, but Eternia will always be my favorite Tales game.
Years ago I was at a local toy store that was selling PS1 games in their clearance section. One of the games that I bought for around $12 was Tail Concerto. The game is a lot of fun and I had no idea until recently at how expensive it has become.
I just found (although not worth too much) Evil Dead: Fistfull of Boomstick that a guy was trying to sell to a Game Stop. He just had a plastic bin with stacks of PS1 games and it was the only thing worth getting in it. I got crazy excited seeing it and he just turned to me and told me to put in my purse. I was dancing on air after that find.
You ever hear of "Thrill Kill"? So I don't know if this one counts since it was never officially released and you can only get it as a bootleg that you need a modded system to play on, but it is a blast if you can find a copy and play it, and the story behind it is interesting.
Thank you so much for inadvertently helping me remember the name of a game I played as a kid. You showed Suikoden II. For at least 10 years I've been trying to remember a game where a character named Ben dies and gives you his power glove and you fight an insect queen. It was Ted from Suikoden 1. Thank you, its a load off my mind.
i remember a local record exchange had like 5 copies for $10 a piece. I made a killing on ebay, this was probably almost 20 years ago. It was rare back then but I only made about 70 a piece from them
12:47 "Adventure of little Ralph" Very impressive with the multiple gameplays : 2D fight game + platform + shooter and everything with state of the art graphics. Impressive
I've got quite a few of these still and in working condition. Suikoden 2, Tales of Destiny 1 & 2, Tail Concerto, Gaia Seed: Project Soul Trap, Star Blade Alpha. I also have Lunar 1 and Lunar 2 with their original big box sets that came with character cards, stickers, Lucia's Pendant, etc. As well as the King's Field series, minus the original Japanese one anyhow. I even have the Breath of Fire games for PS1. I had Brigadine growing up.. but alas was stolen when I was about 8. Along with my copy of Thousand Arms.
Oh yes! Since Altus didn’t have a Europe office until last year PAL region Atlus games are impossible to get after only a few months. I just paid $600 for revelations persona
FMV games are some of my fondest gaming memories, but only because I played so many PC, Sega CD and Saturn games back in the day. I can't wait to check out the Night Trap release coming up!
I remember having a subscription to a monthly ps1 demo disc service and they would send out demo discs each month packed with cool stuff and game demos. I remember playing Tail Concerto on one of those demo discs and it was in a very rough alpha stage with not much to it but it seemed like there was potential.
Playstation underground jampack featured "import demo's " TC I played the same demo it was in Japanese, was watching the YT playthrough earlier and actually was able to view the dialouge in English for the first time, I also rediscovered the cooking simulators its something like Ore No Ryouri
Wow, seen Psychic Detective on a preview. I've played it in my early school days, and this game gave me nightmares, was super-creepy. I played 3DO version, because 3DO in 96-97 was very popular in Russia and no one even knew about PlayStation. Actually learned a lot of english from it and from Alone In The Dark. Need to play it again some day, to refresh my memories.
I played the 3DO version as well, years ago... I remember the game's "final battle" was basically a simple board game, where the pieces were various symbolic concepts you encountered through the game. The things the protagonist learned about those concepts in a given playthrough, and their significance to the protagonist and antagonist, would change the relative strength of the "pieces" - like Pokemon, but with personal associations instead of elemental affinities. It was a neat way to connect "role-playing" character development to game mechanics, in a way that I don't think has been tried since.
I loved Brigandine. Wish I had kept all my old games. That's one I've always wanted to play again to see how it's held up. I always sell my old systems and games thinking I'll never play them again, grrrrrrr
One of my closest bro's sold his collection in order to score a sweet 240sx. He held ended up holding onto one game to give to me. That game was The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Thanks to him I was able to complete my Legends collection. I will never forget that. Every time i think about it, it still gets me in the feels.
i have 30% of the games you showed in this video but i have something much more valuable. i have gungage, vampire hunter d and resident evil gun survivor directors cut. this three are supremely rare. you cannot even find them anywhere.
I own a Demo Disc with a Japanese rendition of Tail Concerto; It's all in Japanese but fully playable on American PS1 (Original) .... I never knew the name of the game but I can for sure recognize the Robot Suit and Bubble Cat. :D
I love MetalJesusRocks & everyone you have on the channel, so much passion for classic as well as current gaming, you all seem like my favourite people in the world. Much love from Birmingham UK ♥
Very cool video, thanks for sharing. I was a little surprised that "Harvest Moon - Back to Nature" didn't make the list for being absurdly expensive but these games are probably a whole new level of ridiculousness.
I remember getting Suikoden I in a bargain bin, loving it, and grabbing Suikoden II on release day. Brigandine was another one I got out of the bargain bin and is a game I absolutely love. Would have loved to seen Grand Edition come overseas since it fixed a lot of things with Legend of Forsena, particularly picking up more story elements than in LoF. Can totally understand how someone would feel underwhelmed by Brigandine though. It's not particularly challenging and the pacing of the game can be slow af too.
actually through the the japanese PSN-only games there are both Harmful Park and The Adventure of Little Ralph, so you can buy and play both of them for 617Yen each (that are like.. 6$, I think) there is also Cotton 100% that is another good game that is actually pretty expensive as well
If Parasite Eve was in this video I would like to hear them talk about how the game is Resident Evil RPG hybrid made by Square. I bet they would talk about how amazing it is that Square made a survival-horror JRPG for the first time ever years back.
Again, because of this video I picked up a game that I had been on the fence about, Kyuin, and I'm really happy I did. Some games just can't be understood by watching a video of someone else play, and it's one of them. Most shops and sellers try to price it at $60, a copy came up starting at around $25 and only one other person tried to bid, I got it for $30. That's a damn miracle.
Brigandine is worth a playthrough if you're into that genre of games. It's excellent, just takes a little time getting used to and learning. After that, you can get hours and hours of playtime with it customizing your armies, and trying new classes/class combinations with knights. I still own my copy and have no plans to ever part with it.
Harry Radley That was a good catch, then. I dont know how prices are in the US or Aus, but a local retro store I visit sells the first Diablo for 90€ if they even have it (or it could have been little over 100€ last time I saw). Sometimes they might have little inflated prices, but they have some good stuff too.
@@stagecoachrobbery Yeah it was super rare and expensive until they re released it. That pretty much killed the price as they sold the crap out of it for $20.
A great rare game that is never talked about for the ps1 is Jackie chan stunt master!!! A very very great beatem up. Has a good double dragon type feel. I picked up a copy not to long ago and paid a pretty penny but it was worth it 🤙🏻 if you have not played it you should check it out.
Einhander and Legend Of Legaia were on the same demo disc, Did it have Tekken 3 as well ?? Driver wasn't playable it was only the preview with the Yellow Car
I was shocked when I recently looked up Digimon Digital Card Battle for PS1 and it's usually around $60 cib now. I literally paid like $10 back in the day. Good video.
Yeah, I bought a copy a a thrift store for a dollar back a few years ago before I even owned a PSX. Sold it and bought my entire Playstation setup with the money.
.....and if you just want play Tales of Destiny 2 there is a PSP Port of the Game "Tales of Eternia" wich is much cheaper then the PS1 Version....just saying ;)
Oh god the adventures of little Ralph! I don’t know how it is possible since it released only in japan but back when I was a kid my cousin owned a copy of this game and everytime I went to my uncles home I asked him to let me play with it! It was my first platform and I loved it so much!
YEAH! Some R-Type Delta LOOOOVE! Damn, that was a hard one to get a hold of a while back. Another game I spent an arm and a leg for was the original black label Blood Omen.
I'd say Final Fantasy started going south fast with XIII, I still think X and XII are some of the high points in the series. The last two mainline games(three even, if you include Type-0) were absolute shit shows story and character wise. To be honest tho, apart from Persona 4(And that game is almost 9 years old at this point...), I don't think I've enjoyed a single JRPG I've tried in the last 10 years or so. And this used to be my favorite genre one time.
A Roadie The last ones I played and enjoyed was The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii. There has been a marked decline in the genre. It's weird, I miss when they were the hottest AAA games around during the PS1 and PS2 era
Says a lot about your taste if you think "Persona 4" was the last good one. The story plagiarized the plot of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable," the characters made scream-at-the-screen worthy stupid decisions, the characters where just the cast of P3 reskinned, the story would come to a painfully screeching halt for stupid high school shenanigans, the consequences of death can be undone by a simple morally right decision, and there are plot holes you can drive a semi through.
Poy Poy is rare (although not among the rarest; it's just a few steps past the "uncommon" level) but it's worth maybe $40 - $60 for a VG condition copy.
SEE CURRENT PRICES: goo.gl/0tU97Y
Thanks MJR and Reggie for the video ;3
"PS1 games rare"? I thought it was a requirement to include "RARE!!!" in the title, no matter if the game is rare or not :p
MetalJesusRocks love your channel more than mothers day, does that make me a bad son... your next video title lol
MetalJesusRocks great video keep up the awesome work.

Yes 👍
THPS 2 Venice Beach
I'm 33 years old and had almost every single one of these epic games. Back then my tiny room was overflowing with games and eventually I had to sell my entire collection for what amounts to nothing. Yes, I have regrets. -__-
Damn I am sorry for your loss
You arent the only one buddy. I sold all mine to blockbuster :( I'm 25
same here, except mine were stolen, plus star ocean 2 and klonoa... I actually still want to play suikoden, tales and star ocean 2.
correct!just get some u like not all complete collection.
I did the same fucking thing with my snes and ps1 collections. Even some of my psp and ps2 games. I'm an idiot
Tales games are always worth it (the canon line). Such an awesome RPG series. Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia are two masterpieces.
Tales of Destiny 2 (aka - Tales of Eternia) is amazing. I own a legit copy and it's easily my favorite game in the series. Vesperia and Berseria are easily my number 2 and 3, but Eternia will always be my favorite Tales game.
im playing through zesteria atm and its been pretty good too. but i think berseria is pretty awesome also!
Goes for $150 used on ebay. Im guessing you won't sell, but thats the current price.
Suikoden II is my favorite game, period, to date. It's a masterpiece on so many levels.

John Riggs: RIGG'd Games Riggs!!
did you see the movie?
the movie is awesome, the game not so much.
Taker 469 oh god I had that game wasn't very good to many random deaths at the start made it not very fun but wish I kept it now lol
the movie is better, believe me ;)
you forgot Klona Door to Phatomille. it's like $175 complete

I got Klonoa for the Wii, fantastic game. I think the Wii version is a re-make because it looks way better than a PS1 game.

Brigandine was awesome it also had a gold version with cut scenes and a two player mode
After the NES and SNES, I would have to say the PS1 is one of the best consoles ever.
NES saved gaming, The PS1 changed the face of gaming. I like to think of the PS1 as the Micheal Jordan the 90s
The Playstation utilized CD rom technology, and it was a mass phenomenon when JRPGs were taken to a whole new level.
Apparently that LSD: Dream Emulator game is very rare and expensive, surprised it wasn't on your list, or maybe you just don't own it.

I want your life!
I want yours!
@RJ Cox lmfao tbh man that’s a lil concerning!
isnt Valkyrie Profile on ps1 amazingly rare and expensive also?
Yes yes it is
Yeah, I bought a copy a a thrift store for a dollar back a few years ago before I even owned a PSX. Sold it and bought my entire Playstation setup with the money.
Great Ghost t-shirt! The pride of Sweden ;)
If you have Ghosts...you have everything.
i thought sabaton was the pride of sweden :O
I didn't realize r type delta and misadventures of tron bonne were so rare! Glad I still got mine. Bought for regular price too. Great videos guys
I love when people find their passion. Good video guys!
Team Buddies... been on my list for years now. No one ever has it! Such an underrated game too!!
Do you recommend anything that isn't a JRPG?
Sabrina the Teenage Witch: A Twitch in Time - She's sooooooo pretty. I think you'll love it ;)
.....and if you just want play Tales of Destiny 2 there is a PSP Port of the Game "Tales of Eternia" wich is much cheaper then the PS1 Version....just saying ;)
And the ISO is even cheaper, infact you get a 100% discount.
Oh god the adventures of little Ralph! I don’t know how it is possible since it released only in japan but back when I was a kid my cousin owned a copy of this game and everytime I went to my uncles home I asked him to let me play with it! It was my first platform and I loved it so much!
I'm just glad Misadventures of Tron Bonne goes on sale on PSN regularly. I doubt I'll ever own is physically.
Guys, give Brigandine a chance. It's a great game. I think any RPG fan would dig it.
I just started getting serious on collecting PS1. I was shocked to see how expensive Klonoa got! I was lucky to pick it up complete for around $40.
I found “Tron Bonne” at a thrift store for $5. I knew it was valuable, but had no real idea. I sold it for $150.
Reggie just makes me smile. He doesnt even need to do or say anything.. I just smile.
YEAH! Some R-Type Delta LOOOOVE! Damn, that was a hard one to get a hold of a while back.
Another game I spent an arm and a leg for was the original black label Blood Omen.
I love Harmful Park, unfortunately unless it get a PS4 store release, probably one I will only ever get to play by emulation.
What are ur favorite JRPGs ?
A Roadie try persona 5
Peter Kaminsky
I played those two in that order last year. Both are fantastic games. :)
NO POY POY or POY POY 2!?
is poy poy rare i used to love that game
Poy Poy is rare (although not among the rarest; it's just a few steps past the "uncommon" level) but it's worth maybe $40 - $60 for a VG condition copy.
Huge fan of Tail Concerto! Nice! And Tron Bonne, that's awesome!
I still have my tail concerto and love it!
