Great video! I'm a retired car dealer and I changed out speakers with ease. Didn't break a thing, since you showed exactly where screws and clips were> TY
Thank you very much for making this video that was absolutely perfect for changing the speakers on my '06. The only thing I'll add is you don't have to put the door handle clip "half way on". Put it all the way on and the taper on the knurled knob will allow the full inserted clip to snap back into place.
Thank you for all the detail in removing the door panel. Plus the info on replacing the electrical plug with the wire connectors. The last video I just watched didn't have any details at all.
I recommend that anyone doing a replacement also buy a set of the soft foam speaker baffles to go in behind to keep out water, dust & bugs and prolong the life of your new speakers. Crutchfield has a set for just about every application and they' re cheap.
Thanks for this Phil! This was an extremely informative video for changing your speakers, probably the easiest to follow and in depth I’ve found since you add little tips that make things look easier and show the parts backing to help you make sure you don’t mistake what way it goes back in. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this!
You forgot to mention to have that manual window crank position marked so it can go back in the same position,....unless you like for it to poke your knee all the time.
Yo, Phil and you blew your speakers out coming home celebrating a good haul of kitties, eh?! The Taco has a fine speaker system but LMC Truck wants a ruptured $300 bill for a new radio. Seeings I never listen to one, someone else will have to get that after I'm gone because the radio works when it wants to. I can tell because the clock that doesn't keep time, changes. But the old thing it still has a good a.c. and heater. Hope all is well there and the river is running. Fine here and still goofy. Yall have a Jesus weekend and GBWYall!
I really enjoyed this project with my son! He can really blow some speakers! been catching a lot of kitties on the river. made a meal from flathead, Fried zucchini, garden tomatoes and green beans, and some other fish. Life is good! Life is even better knowing I have friends like you!
@@PhilCrockett We're really family because of Jesus and SO glad yall got to gnaw on a kitty together! Cheryl is dragging stuff in and to the burn pile. I have no idea what it is except it's good and she's the gardener! I keep the grass/weeds short enough so she can still find everything. And life IS good! I don't understand a ;lot but I don't have to. I trust in the One that knows and did everything. GBWYall, Phil! Happy happy!
phil jeff here from pa. would like to know if you could do a you tube video or just written instructions on how to make venison bacon with a electric smoker i would love to make it i have a charbroil electric smoker how would i do venison bacon with it
GM screws the consumer by using inferior materials in their factory installed junk. Water rots the main cones off the speaker like a wet pper bag and there is nothing left but the centers which no longer function, forcing everyone to go to an aftermarket speaker with waterproof materials that will last. A little grease on those connectors adds life and shrink wrap makes a good cover for those wire crimp connectors. The pro installers usual charge to install is $50 per speaker which is totally outrageous for such a simple fix and they always want to sell you custom fit kit with 14 wire connector options so it makes their job even faster and simpler. Typical fleecing of the consumer !!!
This might possibly be the most helpful video I’ve ever seen on TH-cam. Very well explained!
Excellent! thanks!
This has to be one of the best and most thorough installation videos on TH-cam. Well done!!
Glad you think so! Thanks for taking the time to comment! Hope you like my other videos as well.

Awesome video. Very well documented and each step explained perfectly. Thank you
Thanks, Nicholas!
and thank you for not trying to add introductions, clever images, and that annoying music so many youtubers use while trying to be creative
You'll find my channel to be filled with these kind of videos. Hope my other videos help you out. Thanks for taking the time to comment

Hi, the colors of my wires are a greyish and a pick wire, would the greyish wire be negative?
I'm not sure. follow them to the speaker and see if they are labeled.
Very well made video, thank you
You're welcome!
Excellent video. Thanks for the upload
Thank you too
can you replace the 4 ohm with a 8 ohm????
I believe you will be OK with that.
Thank You. I did it successfully!
Great job! That's what I want to hear! Thanks for the feedback, Ryan!
Same way for the ones in the back?
If I remember right
Thank you for this. Purchased my truck with a blown drivers side speaker, and seems like I just blew my passenger side last night.
Glad it helped

I don't do electric smoker, however.... if you can keep the temp around 225F, then you can use this recipe:
th-cam.com/video/4OdDq7ECo_U/w-d-xo.html
Wut size are the speaker's front and back
The front sizes are shown in this video. The back speakers are smaller and oval. I didn't replace the back ones, so I don't remember the size.
I believe they are 4x6. I'd use Crutchfield to be sure.
This is very wierd. My 2004 doesnt have a window crank it has a button.
Some head cranks some didn't. It's all depended on how much money the purchaser had
Man those rockford are pricey 😂😂
ikr. they were, back in the day
