@David M Absolutely agree. I saw them in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely fantastic show. The pacing and choice of venue was incredible. Nothing quite like crowd surfing through a mosh. Best concert experience by far. The intimacy with the crowd is surreal. I've been listening to them since I was 10 years old and my music taste evolved with every album. That and Brand New.
Loved the lyrical content with this one but felt like Teppei only did half a guitar riff with that blues guitar part. Desperately wanted to hear some high notes on the tail to finish it but so many artists adopt the less is more approach now.
@Epitaph Records your lyrics are incorrect in the second sentence "Just making sure that he’s know the score, but it’s blood on blood." It should be revised as "Just making sure he knows the score, but it's blood on blood."

I think the overall message of the song is how we are all one one and when we we hurt each other we are hurting ourselves"gearing up for a holy war it's either them or us" . And how is it is to convince us to hurt each other. All this violence done in the name of doing the supposed right or justified thing are truly wrong as you are still hurting another. "You say its sanctioned and sanitized but its still blood on blood". And "the world dreaming of" is never to happen until we realizing we are all the same.
aus No, he said in an interview that it was to take the song from the darkness of "where the world we're dreaming of", and then it drops from that dream back into reality after the harp. Also, it's a reference to Christianity, where people have this view that they will be playing harps on clouds to contrast the reality with the idealism

I had a physical reaction when the harp came in at 2:16. I abruptly leaned back a bit. I don't think it's bad, it just completely caught me off guard.
As a harpist who loves rock and metal, this makes me so happy
This harp is such a tasteful touch! I'm an old fan just returning to their music again and I'm super impressed with this song.
