I can't have Xenia recognize my games, even after extracting the isos. My USB drive is setup right, because both dolphin and aethersx2 have no problem recognizing games. It's just Xenia that is having this issue.
To avoid the spurious file listing, the latest uwp version of xenia supports zar files - if you google you'll find the zar xbox file format tool which lets you put all games in as one file. Doing this makes the game list nice and clean.
I just subscribed to your channel bro. All of your videos have come in extremely helpful as I have the xbox series x. I got a 4tb external harddrive with 1000s of games and they all work amazingly. The only issue I'm facing is that n64 exits when I try to run a rom on retroarch. Apart from that everything works great and keep up the fantastic work.

With the recent update from a few weeks ago, only most of the games I have, as opposed to all of them, freeze after the title screen. Got Castlevania Lords of Shadow to load and play, and I got Halo 3 to load and play (very slowly). I'm hoping almost all my games freezing after the title scree is due to this still being a work in progress, and hopefully not something i did wrong during the game back up process on my 360.
How does lords of shadows work with it being 2 disks. Does the install disk place the data somewhere properly or does a specific directory path need to be made?

Sooo I installed the retail version of xenia without the ui, changed my drive permissions and have been able to load 360 games fine. However, since installing the version with the Ui, it doesn't seem to find any of my games after setting the directory for them. They're extracted games, and I have followed instructions for unlocking the permissions on the drive. Am I missing anything?
It says Forzs Horizon 1 is working fine online in the compatibility list but when I open the game on Xenia it stutters and lags a whole bunch. Any fix? Please

I'm having major problems with this. Used to work fine a year ago but sold my xbox. Got a new one tried this again and refuses to load any games. I've set it all up correctly but whenever I boot a game it crashes and I've no idea why
I did everything right and I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program to my retail series x but the games still aren't showing up. I used iso2god program and added a 360 game folder to the NTFS usb drive and plugged in and nothing.
Wondering if you ran into an issue where the games list is blank? It worked fine a few days ago and now the games list doesn't show any games. I tried resetting the path, also tried uninstalling Xenia and started from scratch.
I'm so confused. My USB is formatted correctly, my games are in xex format, the game folder is inside of an "Xbox 360 games" folder, and yet nothing shows up in my games list tab. I've tried this with l4d, GTA IV, and WAW. I've even gone as far as trying to load it up as God format instead of xex... What am I doing wrong? I'm not sure why but the green Xenia menu doesn't load when I select Xenia Canary from the Dev mode apps list. All I see is the file explorer. I can select the USB drive and the games but I need to set the path for the games to list. It seems straight forward but did I miss something? TIA
I was wondering how dlc and paid dlc would work in this. Is it possible to play dlc content in this emulator? Especially for games like Forza motorsport 3 which has 2 disks, one being the actual game and the other being a content install disk. Also for games that have paid dlc, would we be able to play its paid dlc content?
Games only load up to title screens, then it says it can't find the path. How do you fix that? I have already set the correct path as far as I know, did every step you did.

because the 360 library is around 4500 ish games and exactly 575 have been backwards compatible for the last 3 years and that's all were going to get because the program ended around that time
@@alex.starostin I'm using an 8gb 2.0 usb that is 10 years old and it's working fine for all games, an ssd will help alot if u are planning to use texture packs in dolphin or pcsx2 and might give u like 10% faster loading times but won't have better performance

Hi Everyone, So I installed everything properly on my USB and added it as "Media" but I am still not seeing my USB when trying to add my path. Am I missing something?
I had versioin 1.14 running and working, but after a while it doesnt start. when i start the app it gets me to the sandbox menu. I unistalled and istlled it and it didnt work either. Any advice? cpould it be dev mode laytest update? I realised that xbsx2 doesnt open either, *SOLVED, check the comments bellow*
@@Dre3010 Yes. First I had cache cleaned up, but I realised the problem had to do with the 4k resolution on dev mode. As long as it is set on 1080p, it runs. So try the resolotion on 1080p and if its not fixed do a cache clean up too. (Cleaning the cache will reset your console on favtory settings, but as long as you make sure to chose the option "keep my applicatioms", when singing in to your account it will find the configuration file and it will be as it was. Your apps will be there too)
I try to run left 4 dead it starts up fine but it asks me to restart the app and the game will open automatically. I feel that due to the way the games list is setup, the system cant find the game automatically

Download the .dll file from a reputable source, drag it into the same folder as your game and the exe. Then drag the game onto the exe. That should work.

Currently don't have a way to listen to audio so sorry if you mentioned this in the video but is there a way to return to the menu? Also wondering if there's a way to swap disks as I'm trying to buy a Saab in Forza Motorsport 4 but you need the 2nd disc and I haven't figured out a way to do that yet.
Honestly I haven't tried multi disc games on Xenia. My multi disc games got packed into single game GoDs when they were released digitally (Mass Effect 2/3, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey etc.) There might be a guide out there for combining the discs.
A limited selection of titles are backwards compatible. When this advances to the point of PCSX2 and Dolphin it will be able to play almost all of them.
When I tried making a path for my 360 games it keeps giving me a warning that says the following "The folder path you have selected in not writable! Please check that you have the correct permissions for the folder you have selected" And whenever I tried setting the config path to my Xenia folder on my USB drive it crashes Xenia Canary and now I have a fold on my USB drive titled DevelopmentFiles with an apps folder inside
For some reason when I add a path the game folder doesn't have the .xex file. I checked the usb on my pc and it's there but when I plug it into my xbox it just disappears.
How would you rename your games so they don't just show a string of numbers? I ripped mine into GOD format (but can re-rip if needed to extracted) and could load them with the previous non-UI mode, but now obviously don't know which game is which in the new UI! I assumed this wasn't yet possible but your comment at 9:30 made me think it was possible.
For me the game doesn't launch directly. It says "New game detected. please relaunch to play", so I did, and then it just says "Failed to launch, title path is invalid", but CLEARLY the game IS there because I used the EXACT same extractor tool, and dolphin and retroarch has no problems, so what's the problem here???
so i need some help. 1. to make the game smaller or more so be read by Xenia, you said to use that program, but when i transferred the files to Xenia it just gave me like a bunch of them. Check rhe compatibility list. Chances are it’s the emulator and not rhe game

Man, I can't get my games to show up, even after following your steps.

It's the emulator. 360 isn't in the best state on PC either.
It handles data installation from discs on its own.

Samsung has a 128 GB flash drive and I got one on amazon for like 14 bucks. It's USB 3.1 so it's USB-C speeds in USB-A form factor.

You would likely run the second disc like normal. I haven't messed with DLC yet
Yeah, if this allowed me to play around with say, PGR 3 and 4 DLC's then this would be worth its weight in gold alone.

Get USB and save the headache and limited storage space.

I had a question because I got the emulator installed and it works but when I get the game extract it and what not it just never works I tried the one you linked and multiple others to extract the game and they all don’t work 😭 I need help
The XISO exe doesn’t load and states “execution cannot proceed, reinstalling may fix this program’’ is there any work around this?
Drag the .iso file literally onto the XISO exe. It will then open XISO and start extracting your game.
am i able to use a USB hard drive instead of a Flash drive for more storage?

getting a vcruntime140_1.dll error, using parallels, followed troubleshooting for this error but still having no luck on converting the iso...any suggestions?
Download the .dll file from a reputable source, drag it into the same folder as your game and the exe. Then drag the game onto the exe. That should work.
why cant you use the iso file itself?

Si usas Dev Mode, puedes cambiar el idioma, solo ve a la ruta Xenia/LocalState/ descarga el archivo xenia-canary.config.toml, busca la línea: user_language = 5 y modifica el número según el idioma que desees, luego solo reemplaza el archivo original y listo.
If you use Dev Mode, you can change the language, just go to the path Xenia/LocalState/ download the xenia-canary.config.toml file, look for the line: user_language = 5 and modify the number according to the language you want, after that, just replace the original file and that's it.
Hey how do u get the internal pathways to show up on the games list on the old version I could just play directly off the local but they won't show up in games list from local anymore

Currently don't have a way to listen to audio so sorry if you mentioned this in the video but is there a way to return to the menu? Also wondering if there's a way to swap disks as I'm trying to buy a Saab in Forza Motorsport 4 but you need the 2nd disc and I haven't figured out a way to do that yet.
Honestly I haven't tried multi disc games on Xenia. My multi disc games got packed into single game GoDs when they were released digitally (Mass Effect 2/3, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey etc.) There might be a guide out there for combining the discs.

A limited selection of titles are backwards compatible. When this advances to the point of PCSX2 and Dolphin it will be able to play almost all of them.
Are there any hotkeys to exit out of games? Do you just hit the home button and quit xenia that way?

When I tried making a path for my 360 games it keeps giving me a warning that says the following
"The folder path you have selected in not writable! Please check that you have the correct permissions for the folder you have selected"
And whenever I tried setting the config path to my Xenia folder on my USB drive it crashes Xenia Canary and now I have a fold on my USB drive titled DevelopmentFiles with an apps folder inside

For some reason when I add a path the game folder doesn't have the .xex file. I checked the usb on my pc and it's there but when I plug it into my xbox it just disappears.

How would you rename your games so they don't just show a string of numbers? I ripped mine into GOD format (but can re-rip if needed to extracted) and could load them with the previous non-UI mode, but now obviously don't know which game is which in the new UI! I assumed this wasn't yet possible but your comment at 9:30 made me think it was possible.

For me the game doesn't launch directly. It says "New game detected. please relaunch to play", so I did, and then it just says "Failed to launch, title path is invalid", but CLEARLY the game IS there because I used the EXACT same extractor tool, and dolphin and retroarch has no problems, so what's the problem here???

You need to use command line to make it work. It's not your typical gui application
so i need some help.
1. to make the game smaller or more so be read by Xenia, you said to use that program, but when i transferred the files to Xenia it just gave me like a bunch of them. What are the files for the games because i'm really not sure.
2. for multidisc games example being some of or all the arkham games. they have 2 discs. how do i do both in xenia? can you change the discs or is only one disc required.
