That is a not for resale vendor test sample kit.
Some of the vendors that were high retail sellers got these as a “bonus” from microsoft. In an attempt to push sales of the kinnect system.
Interesting... any idea what retailer this could have been? I'm guessing one of the usual suspects like walmart, target, gamestop (maybe even kmart in 2010? 😂)
@@jrob0021 defenitely not walmart. Walmart wasnt into open vendor displays.
This would of had to of been a gamestop, Toys-R-Us, or BestBuy. Toys-R-Us had the worst management when it came to setting up displays. Mostly because they didnt have a specialty manager. That specialized in technology and unless the store manager would of received training first. (Which they didnt and didnt go to the electronics conventions). They wouldnt know how to display the kinnect system.
This system you have is a rarity because it probably got bought and sold a few times starting with a toys R Us liquidated auction. Having it turn a few hands until you got it.

Pretty sure the price is that high due to it being sealed. Collectors will way over pay for sealed product. (But being a part of this community, you already know that 🙂)
$400 my god that's ridiculous. I paid $45 for my Kinect bundle that was also sticker sealed. Regular/non special edition 360s are not worth a lot of money used or sealed

Game console get more expensive longer they get older there is the time they drop but thin they go back up

I always avoided the glossy Xbox for the exact reason that anything glossy looks like crap within an hour.
Yet it plays the same as the non glossy one. Do you think your going to take it to Heaven?

That Kinect Dashboard version was a beta build. The blank avatar is black instead of grey. Plus, the Avatar Editor background color is pink and blue instead of green.

It’s definitely 100% resealed. There’s absolutely NO way it’s not. I had a few rare PS3 games I wanted to get sealed so I got them resealed and you cannot even tell a difference. Looks like they never been opened (which they have)
It’s a vendor sample kit, which is why it’s got the beta OS + weird additions.

Even if kinect didnt come with it originally, lots of consoles sellers back in the day let you customize what you got with the 360, my xbox 360 was supposed to come in a bundle with halo 4 and tomb raider, but i actually got halo 3 and halo 4.

Just bought an in box Xbox360 250 GB with packed games for 200 bucks 200 bucks even and thought it was expensive. Spent another 300 on 75 games with a Kinect and extra controller.

that seal looked very old like it has been on the box for awhile but maybe they opened it and possibly put those games into it for some reason because when i grew up on the og xbox that happened a lot on me when i used to get Xbox bundles as i would get from Walmart two to three maybe sometimes 4 whole sealed games that they never showed on the box which confused me but was free games for me

I'm sure you already know this. But if you intend on keeping it or even selling it, you should really replace the thermal paste. That thing being 14 years old most likely means that paste is super dried up. Probably can't play for too long without it overheating unless that gets taken care of.

The xbox 360 I got when we pre-ordered it came with the extra controller and all the extra just like that it just didn't have that sticker on it. They didn't advertise all the extras on the box and it confused us when we picked it up and expected more than one box

This was a special bundle after the kenect didn’t sell much certain retailers sold these to make up and get rid of the overhaul of consoles
That's actually a sick combo for the money. People saying it's overpriced don't understand the collector market at all. Sealed old stock that's out of production raises in value. Just a sealed slim 4GB Kinect bundle starts at over $300 on Ebay.

The xbox 360 dashboard is the nxe kinect. The nxe kinect dashboard was released in 2010.
Honestly, sealed or not still an awesome find. Xbox is mint plus the extra games. Ultimate Alliance/Forza pack brand new sealed itself is an awesome find.

Actually.... It's a backwards compatible game. You could redeem it in a in game marketplace or on newer Xbox store on Xbox console specifically

@@njones621 what you're mentioning was exactly why I wanted to be ahead of the game and redeem codes for soulcalibur 1 and 2 be on Xbox. They worked directly on my series x console alongside gears of war and gears of war judgment

0:52 No, that box is not "in really nice condition", it's a B or C, and the liquid damage in the back knocks it down to a D. It looks like it's been dropped a few times, the corners are dented in. And it's also not worth the $400, for that money you can get a new Star Wars Edition Slim.
a few 360 store codes still work i think it depends on the backwards compatibility of the game
i got and used a grunt funeral DLC code for halo ce anniversary and it worked fine like 3-4 days ago

Wheres the original power brick? If thats the one that came in the box it was definitely opened which explains why Ultimate Alliance came with it.
If you got the codes after the store shutdown they won't be usable.

The leakage on the box was probably from the corroded batteries. If I found extra brand new games that wasn’t promoted on the box I would not complain. I do wonder though if maybe the store it came from originally packed them & added extra games as a holiday sale or something.

Haha, that's actually very interesting. I mean, I started collecting retro hardware hmm 3 years ago (i'm old enough to waste some money ;D) , and all of it is obviously used. I have Xbox 360, Xbox One, PSP, 3DS, DS, PS Vita, PS Vita TV etc. but I don't know this experience of opening brand new console box - i don't know what's inside, what were the games included etc. :D Your video made like it's me who opens it :D

That 360 maybe brand new, but it's not a factory sealed. Somebody at some time put things in there. I'd be pissed if I paid 400 for a sealed console and got that.
