I just completed 4 wheel bearings/brakes. I replaced front sway bar end links, one was broken, and I’m waiting for shipment of a driveshaft carrier bearing. The fans run all the time so your temp sensor video will serve me well. I’m also considering a stick of dynamite and a long fuse. Semper Fidelis Dave Heitman

You dont have to remove the intake manifold to get to this sensor, you can access it from the passenger side it's a little tricky, but ten times faster than removing intake, and you dont have to replace any gaskets.
My over temp coolant light just came on on my 2011 exploder! NOPE!, Selling it for sure! Had to do spark plugs a while back what a POS! Soon my Add will read: 2011 Explorer for sale $2,500 under going price!! Mechanics special only needs a coolant temp sensor!! Bargain days are here! Never again, so unbelievable. This is also my second engine, lost my first well maintained never abused engine from a simple water pump seal going out. By the time you get off the highway after hearing all the noises it’s over. That was fun! Seriously unreal, 100 plus years of automotive experience in building engines and we are here!
Hi Thank you for this great video . I have a question . What where the symptoms that made you change the temperature sensor . Is this sensor responsible of sending the signal to start the high speed fans?
@Marc S Hiya Marc- That sensor HAS TO BE part of the "chain"... I replaced the fans and module, the thermo, you name it. Last year I had to pay someone to do the stupid internal water pump, I certainly didn't want to bother with it. I'm almost positive... It's GOT to have something to do with that Temperature sensor. If not, I'm thinking about buying five gallons of gas and a book of matches. That'll fix this boat anchor.
Where you able to figure it out? My fans do not come on. I replaced the fans after checking the fuse and finding out it was fine. There’s power going to the new fans at the controller, but the don’t turn on. I can put power to the fans directly from the battery and they turn on. Now I understand if the radiator cooling fan doesn’t turn on if the coolant sensors is bad, but I don’t understand why the A/C wouldn’t turn when the A/C is turned on. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello, I enjoyed watching your video> I have changed the Coolant Temperature sensor the radiator fans and still the fans won't turn on to avoid it from overheating. What ells should I do?
My 2009 MKZ cooling fan runs at high speed when the car is cold. But only when the climate control system is on. When it is off the fan doesn't run. Would this temp sensor cause that issue it is it the cooling fan control module?
Really can be the expansion valve of the a/c or to much freon or r132A in the system ,let's evacuated little bit and id solve it , also disconnect the cable of the high pressure side of the a/c ,near the filling port and you see the fans working at the low rpms.
Cylinder head temperature sensor. Is that the sensor that kicks the fan on and off when need be? Or is there also a coolant temperature sensor? Cuz right now my fan is not kicking on and off like it should. It'll kick on for like a minute and then stop after that it won't kick back on ever.
Thanks guys for your super informative videos. Does 2009 Ford Flex has both "Coolant Temperature Sensor" and "Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor" or only one of them doing oth functions? Many thanks
