The important difference being that while each SCP has its own unique origins, All abnormalities are born from human counsciousness(or lack there of). Ego skills, as its name suggests, is a unique ability one can awaken when reaching peak "humanness". To be human is not just a one thing, there are many things we can call human nature. Some has awaken their ego by determination to revenge their lover, while some has awaken it by denying that they have ever done anything wrong in their lives and blaming others for all the wrong things that has happened. Ego skills are usually very powerful and manifests in the way it visually represent the core values of the said person. Awakening Ego on their own is extremely rare. But a corporation called Lobotomy corp found a way to harvest Ego from abnormalities and give it to its employees to use them as combatants. As abnormalities are born from human consciousness, it also has "humanness" to them. The drawback being that these given Egos can "corrode". This ego corrosion is what I mentioned in earlier comment. When the person's sanity reaches the lowest point, ego corrosion happens and the abnormality's ego will take over that person's personality. When this happens, the user's from changes to reflect said abnoramlity. And use that abnormality's attacks and abilities at random including friendlies. The ego skill being used in this video is called "The Road Home". It's an ego extracted from abnormality that is inspired by Dorothy from the book "The Wizard of OZ". If you've read the book, or watched the film, you would know of an iconic scene where an evil witch get crushed under a house. This abnormality seems to have limited reality manipulation and can basically recreate that scene to its enemies. The suit is just male version of this abnormality's attire.
