They taught me how to live when I was faced with the fact that I could possibly lose them. There was many times that I had to save face to insure that they felt safe no matter how torn apart I was inside. They were both diagnosed on my birthday OF ALL DAYS 3 years apart. Even speaking those words still stuns me to this day considering that my 15 year old is almost 8 years in remission, & my 9 year old is almost 5 years in remission.
