  • I do now own The Orville or any of the characters. It is the property of FOX and Seth MacFarlane. This video fall under fair use.
Gordon realizes the simulation is interfering with his life. He decides to get closure and move on.

I don't think this is the best episode of the Orville. But I think it may be the most important one. Allow me to elaborate. What made Star Trek what it was were those episodes that made you think and those episodes that made you feel. Best of all, those that made you do both.
This episode made me do both. So even though there are episodes that I enjoyed more or dealt with more pressing issues we face today, this is still the most important in terms of establishing the show.
I missed science fiction like this. I'm so very happy to see it return.

It's weird how back then star trek is more about exploration finding new stuff or anomaly, but now they are way more focused on space politic and war.

I guess it's just a reminder to all of us who live in this time. Cherish it. For my own part I can remember being that age and enjoying that kind of fun. I think we all can. The early to mid 90s was such a great time to be in your mid 20s. Although we used to drink a lot heavier than these people do. lol

I always thought they should have showed the photograph of Gordon and Laura appearing on Laura's actual physical phone, since it was "paired" with the holodeck and the systems could clearly communicate wirelessly. Would've been a really cool moment that blurred the lines between fiction and reality

I thought at first The Orville was crap, but I’m so glad I stuck with it. This episode made me laugh, cry and think.
The show has not only become far more mature, but I think it’s funnier too. Seth has learned that good comedy comes from good characters and good story. Not family guy humor.

I hate Ed and Kelly so much after this. So not only did they take him back before Gordon had his family, they lied to him the whole time, never telling him the truth. So selfish. If Gordon ever finds out, I would try to get Kelly and Ed back together and if that didn't work, try to make them happy. And in secretly plotting to destroy everything they love, it's what they deserve.
