I'd have to say that my favorite actor from "The Orville" is probably Peter Macon. I absolutely adore Bortus because his character is strong, brave and intelligent yet is also somewhat naive and is full of surprises. Mark Jackson's Isaac is lovable and I was SO happy that he betrayed the members of his planet in order to save his friends on The Orville. 🙂

Yeah he betrayed his own race to stand side by side with the biologicals. If the situation is reversed, I am not sure if I would go with the machines to betray humanity
Bortus could've been relegated to mere comic relief, but they made him a very important character with a family and everything.

Yeah it was odd that wasn't mentioned. That's what fans of this show probably know her most from. I know I watched the pilot and was like "I had no idea Yates was in this!" once I recognized her. Great casting too, it's a real shame she hasn't had a ton more roles between DS9 and Orville. The really supported some really heavy episodes, some of the heaviest in the show.

Bortus without a doubt. The episode where he & his mate discovered cigarettes hurt me from laughing. I had to watch that episode 3 times to get through it all. My sides & jaw hurt for days after that episode.
TV actors/actresses have absolutely brutal work schedules that break up relationships all the time. You have to give serious props to anyone whose relationship survives that type of work.

Especially the CW shows which are mostly shot in Vancouver, BC. The casts of those shows pretty much live in Vancouver 9 out of 3 months of the year. I've heard that when Melissa Benoist and her husband were in Vancouver shooting Supergirl they never bothered to have cable service in their home in Los Angeles because they weren't there enough to justify paying that bill.

Halston Sage is my FAVORITE.💙
My favorite is Adrianne Palicki because her character takes care of everyone, and is the aggressive protector and fighter. I also like Scott Grime's Malloy character because he is a sensitive romantic, impulsive, and a musician. (The Lamarr character is also a noted musician but doesn't get to do anything musical on the show). I liked Charly and was disappointed they killed her off.
I get the feeling they intended to kill her off right away and that’s why they made her so unsympathetic for most of her run. But I guess that was intended to create an arc for her character

Actually Mark Jackson was engaged when he took the job in Orville and had to move to United States. He married her between season one and two.
Apparently he married a blender. They are currently churning out children.
Such a well casted well written show..hard to choose a favourite but I hope the series continues for a long time.....
I really miss Alara so much. You can think it's just coz she's pretty but she was such a fun, beloved character and integral to the cast. Orville took a massive hit when she was mysteriously ejected from it after dating Seth..

100% agree. She was clearly the stand-out in Season One and dare I say, was kind of the heart of the whole story - being the youngest of them all.

Halston Sage as Alara Kitan and Mark Jackson as Isaac are my favourites. I'm so glad that Alara got to make a brief appearance during the Kaylon uprising, it was like seeing an old friend.

I absolutely love the show I'm glad there is a third season been waiting a long time for it. The young actors on the series play different roles and other series that brings a lot of energy and versatility to the show. Can't wait to see the new episodes.
Scott Grimes is my favorite 🥰 . I love the whole cast 💕 but his humor and all around loveable character is on point. I hope we get many, many more seasons 🙏. At the very least 2 more after season 3 is done.

Yes he’s hilarious when he is trying to be funny and totally does not get it. And the cutest thing is how his hubby is so incredibly proud of him, & find some hilarious- when they are not squabbling.
He is so awesome. When he and Kyleden got addicted to cigarettes was hilarious. The club scene was so funny too.

As I long time Star Trek fan, I wasn't interested in watching The Orville. But recently I started watching it and am really enjoying it. I sure hope there will be a 4th season!

My favorite actors (male and female) are those who understand that Hollywood is for entertainment, and that you don't bring that back home. You CAN have relationships with others in the business, but at home is real life and you have to deal with it. Most don't.

I agree. The show has fantastic casting. Very often the children actors in shows are just terrible but all the kids in Orville are fine actors even the youngest little one, Ty.

I love this show. How each member of the senior crew mate is given equal importance how their characters are completely different. It even doesnt let down the support staff like Yaphit or the Admirals. No one person is a superman and that was proved with the last episode where Charly gave her supreme sacrifice.

Seth announced during The Orville SDCC panel on Saturday that seasons 1-3 will be moving to Disney+ in the US beginning August 10. Still waiting to hear whether the show has been renewed for a fourth season. Probably won't hear anything for a few more weeks. Maybe an announcement will come during D23.

All the actors are great but my favorite is Yaphit (the green blob voiced by the late Norm McDonald). And Issac is a close runner up. He makes Mr. Spock seem much too human by comparison.

I did not know that FOX cancelled it I thought Seth just wanted to move it. Anyway if FOX cancelled it what a bunch of boneheads.
Not sure what reason Fox gave for the cancellation but Seth's other show, "Family Guy", is much more popular. Maybe Fox thought they could do better with advertisers with a show to replace "The Orville".
