    I have thin fine hair too. I'm slowly learning to love and accept my hair for what it is. We ought to normalize having thin hair as naturals. The natural hair community seems to only have people with thick hair.

      @@lwandogedi928 I literally keep typing in 4b and thinner 4c hair and find nothing 😭 I understand that healthy hair will be thicker when it's not damaged but even still, some hair is healthy and thin and I just can't find anything, makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong.

      same, I myself have thin hair also thin hair could come from all sorts such as medications, genetics, dietary etc, if I had her hair I would not complain [my opinion]

    This is the part of the TH-cam natural hair community that few people come to. Everybody seems mainly to be interested in seeing massively thick long natural hair. Everybody is showing off length and few people truly show where they started. Showing me your hair at shoulder length then waist length means nothing to me. Let me see when it was above your ears ma’am. I have mad respect for people like Star puppy, who started from the bottom and documented it here on TH-cam.

    You are Beautiful! I have alopecia and low density hair, I’m glad you made this video🥰 Philippians 4:6,7 6 Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.

    Wow.. thank you for your transparency. I have the same hair struggle. And I too feel ugly. Smh however I’m Learning I should be grateful it could be worse. I’m learning how to accept what I can’t control. It one day at a time. Many days I think of chopping it off. As I have done in the past. However I notice when I chop it it grows bigger which i like. So that’s an option still . And to stay naturally short. Hang in there . I’m trying to as well.

    It’s hard to grow back thin hair if you don’t know the cause of it. My hair began to thin too. I believe my thin edges were from wrapping my sleep scarf too tight. I have grown my edges back, but it’s still thin up top, and I’m not sure what caused the thinning up top. I have tried injections from my dermatologist, minoxidil, and other prescriptions. Currently, I’ve been using rosemary and cloves spray every day. I also use a clove oil combo that I make myself, and continue to massage Jamaican black castor oil as well. I’ve embraced my hair and I think and speak positively every day that it is getting thicker. God bless your journey, and thanks for sharing 🥰

    This video is real. Thank you. I love how you styled your hair at the end. It’s adorable. I do something similar with a hair band. Recently, though, I have resorted to wigs. I found a lovely company called Follea. It’s beautiful hair. It’s not common to wear wigs for my particular culture. People are curious to what I have done because the quality of Follea hair is pretty much undetectable as a wig.

    I literally had the same issues. So me wearing box braids / adding hair to braids have helped my hair grow. But the stress on my edges around my hair still thins out even though I don’t wear tight braids. So I just started twisting my own natural hair. Adding garlic to my hair oil. Olive oil. And my hair has grown and gotten stronger and fuller. Add cloves. I just let the oil sit for 14 days or use my garlic powder grease right away. I also add raw honey. Try it. It worked for me. Even use cayenne pepper inside grease. See what it does for you. We can do this sis. Literally this changed my hair. I have the progress I’ve been needing to see. Also add lime juice. Vitamin C richness. Sesame seed oil as well. Sweet almond. Give it a go.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. I have thinning and shedding and can never seem to moisturize enough. Combing and attempting to style my hair has been frustrating. I have resulted to wearing wigs, caps and head scarves because I'm not brave or confident enough to wear my own hair. I've chopped it several times in the last 6 years and the texture has not changed. Stressful situations along with insomnia have contributed to this situation. Graying seems to lately aggravate it. Thank you for that courage to bear it all. I hope we'll find a solution soon.

    I am so glad to finally be able to see someone with a fine hair. Thank you very much for sharing. I tell you yours is a lot better than mine at least you were able to plait it. I can't with mine as my hair at the front not only is very fine it is also short. As none of the natural hair products have made any difference to my hair, I finally decided to use the Mane ‘n Tail original range the Shampoo, and the Conditioner as well as the Detangler and Strengthener. Since I have started using Mane ‘n Tail the left side of my hair has definitely grown as my hair never grows it is un usual for me, when I felt something against my neck my I gave it a quick brush off my neck assuming it was creepy-crawly. However, there is no noticeable change on the right side. If you have not tried it already Stinging nettle powder paste as well as rinse seem to work. This very lovely lady MyNaturalMyChoice shares how she has been suffering hair loss at the side and her crown and started applying stinging nettle powder paste as a mask as well as other herbs. I have started making the stinging nettle tonic and apply it with a sprayer to my scalp and my entire hair and don’t wash it out. If you are interested, here is the link to her you tube channel th-cam.com/users/MyNaturalMyChoiceit is worth watching her videos as she has very good advice based on her own experience. Good luck.

I was born with pretty much bald spots on both sides of my head so it's something I've dealt with my entire life and I just turned 40. I’m also facing this same hair problem. I thought by perming my hair, it’s going to be a little thicker but it didn’t. Now, I’m thinking of transitioning back to natural. I’m always wearing wigs and haven’t been confident going out with my natural hair

    • @ChitaDiaries
      @ChitaDiaries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Natural hair styled out always gives me the illusion of thickness, and for that reason I don't think I could ever be permed/relaxed again.
      Hope you find the confidence to wear your hair out once in while ❤️ Wigs are great too though, I won't talk them down lol. They're great as a protective style and just to change up our looks every now and then 🤗

    This is me! I have low-density super fine wispy hair...that is long. I went to get a free flat iron...and it was a disaster. What hair I had was brushed...yes brushed out. My hair needs oil. And they actually put a detox on it and made it drier. No more. My hair is mid-back length. I am keeping my own cutting schedule not theirs. It is gradually "filling in". Be wary of professional hairdressers. Please, avoid all tension on your edges. Change your style to keep weak areas covered.

    • @rashida7777

      The hairstyle with the headband looks good on you. Just Invest in a better-quality headband. Your hair will grow if you don't traumatize it. And smile when you do your hair. Most Black women have this depressed look when they are making videos. Your hair is like an antennae. You are receiving negative energy from the hair strands. Be loving to it! Caress it. Be happy.😍🥰🥰

      I too have thin fine low density hair which I'm learning to embrace. I choose to focus on the positives. For example i can detangle my hair with my fingers, my hair products go a long way. My wash days are quick and now i understand how to manage my hair i am retaining length. Thank you for uploading such an important video. Finally if hair is still growing out of the hair follicles (particularly at the sides) then your hair can grow back. Just treat it gently and try not create any tention when you're doing high buns or wearing hair bands. In fact I would separate the fine hair on the sides and treat this hair very gently. Hope this makes sense. Stay beautiful xxx

    I have fine hair as well. , and the exact same issues. I keep my edges moisturized every other day with water, cream, and oil…and see some improvement, but no one braids. I wash and place in a twist, if I go somewhere I'll throw on a wig, come home, take it off water it down, moisturize it with cream and oil, and put on a silk scarf. I started taking hair vitamins, and iron due to being anemic, and shedding. I dye my natural hair (not often) blue black 1 because black hair looks better on me, and 2 is it makes my hair look fuller. Wishing you the best of luck.

      I've heard great things too about Ayurvedic treatments but I'm lazy when it comes to DIY. I will consider doing it eventually though 🙂

    Doing meditation helps me handle my stress and anxiety, have you tried supplements like taking biotin or iron supplements?

    • @ChitaDiaries
      @ChitaDiaries  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will definitely give meditation a shot.
      And yes I tried biotin in the past but I had adverse reactions physically, before I could even see results with my hair 😅
      As for iron, yes, I will eventually have to supplement especially with the plant based diet. I just haven't been to see a doctor and get proper blood work done 🙈 it's on the to-do list though 😁 and thanks a lot for the suggestions ❤️

      I feel you! I've also struggled during periods where my hair is going through, and other times where it decides to thrive on its own 😕 its never been thick though, or even normal denisty, but I have figured out how to style it in a flattering way for me

      You've caught me at a bad time sis 😅🙈 I actually had a really good stretch for a while there. But my hair is back to its old ways and I am due for a good cut in a few weeks.
      When my hair was doing great, I honestly don't know what I did differently. I promise I am not gate keeping. So maybe I was just less stressed. In terms of curbing my stress, 2020 and 2021 were two years where I was dealing with the sudden death of loved ones, so that shock to my system was probably the main trigger. But with time, and mental and emotional stability being restored, I guess my body was functioning better. I am just making assumptions here, 🙈 sorry.
      But my staple routine when I'm making an effort is weekly washing, deep conditioning, and moisturising and sealing, then leaving my hair in a low manipulation hairstyle for a full week. My best protective style for hair growth and length retention has been mini twists. So I would do a mini twists set for two weeks, wear my hair out for another two weeks in the routine mentioned earlier and repeat.
      My favourite protective style though is knotless braids 🙈 but that quickly turns into neglect for me. Then I also coloured my hair along the way but didn't do more to combat the new dryness, so that's where I am now, and due for a hair cut, hehe.

    oh my gosh, I took my daughter to cheer practice and I was sitting in the car. The ice cream truck comes out there and all the parents are coming out to give their kids the money for ice cream. I had these twists in my hair and they are so thin and I was so embarrassed to get out of the car and a few of the people were staring at me and their eyes got really wide and one lady was smirking. I am fully grown and I should understand people by now, but I was so sad and embarrassed. When I got home I took my twists down and just wore a twist out. I couldn't talk to my husband about it and I sometimes feel at a loss...I believe in normalizing thin hair, but isn't there something we can do?

      🫂❤️ sorry you were made to feel that way 😔
      For now, the only thing that gives me confidence is styling around what I have. And maybe adding extensions in a safe way every now and then

    Do you think African threading would help grow and help my hair to grow and maybe thicken

      Hi Carla 😊 I haven't really tried it the last 6 years of being natural. But it could possibly be a great, safe way to stretch hair and retain length 👍🏾

    At least your beautiful, it could have been worse, you could have been unattractive and have thinning hair. I know that knowledge doesn't help the thinning hair. I pray you can resolve the hair. God bless.

      I can't believe I found your channel. My sister, you have no idea how much seeing your video means to me. I was in the mirror crying today, wishing my hair was thicker like the other natural thick haired beauties. Then I came across your video. You are beautiful, and so is your hair. Thank you for your courage. You gained a new subscriber. Hugs from North Carolina (in the United States). ❤️❤️❤️
