I've been looking for good videos on thin natural type 4 hair for yeeaars and have never landed on some good ones. Today, I accidentally logged out of my page without knowing. I did my usual routine of search of how to do an afro with thin type 4 hair and your video appeared. I'm so happy I found this! I'm at armpit length and this is the first time I have ever come across a (1.) successful afro on (2.) naturally thin hair. Thank you for this!
We have the exact same hair, baby hair and forehead. It’s a struggle but I’m learning. Thanks for this video. I often wet my hair, moisturize it, pick it out some and then I use the sponge that gives me the Afro/coils look. It works but this what you did is another option that I will use. Thank you
Girl yes man my hair is thin like this and how it looks this is real all the others don’t have hair like us real thin fly away hair it’s so hard to fix it
I know the natural hair streets would want me to tell you to embrace what you have and wear your hair out, but honestly I know the feeling. A good protective style helps make me feel confident, until I miss my natural hair again and can wear it out in a non-stressful and flattering hairstyle
I like to give some advice to anybody with this hair type like myself, things that we need for your is a good moisturiser like Joice moisturiser ,and hair density serum like the ordinary, I would say for our hair and we definitely need keratin or collagen hairspray strengtheners, leave in hair lotion/ conditioner strengther this will help to thicken your hair along with obviously good castor oil like Jamaican black castor because this has really changed my hair this is what they don't tell you and good MSM which I can use topically
Thank you for this video. It's so helpful to see a tutorial with relatable hair. Could you please tell me: 1) How long did this last? 2) Did the ends get tangled once the hair fully dried???
Hi, I wore the afro for that one day. When I have chosen to style my hair in an afro on consecutive days in the past, it has involved a lot more daily manipulation than I am comfortable with, so I reserve it for one off occasions. And no my ends didn't get too tangled, as it was just for a day. And I probably loosened my strands with a bit of moisturiser prior to sleeping and put them in twists for the night. And then wore my hair in a low manipulation style for the rest of the week.

@@ChitaDiaries thank you so much for responding :)
My hair is literally this exact same texture. I never knew wth to call it or what to do with it. I always end up just cutting it off 😢
And how you grew your edges?
Thank you! It came out beautifully and I'm going to give this a try. What did you do that night to prepare it for the next day? Thanks again!
I wore it out the same day I styled. I didn't sleep on it
Cute TFS 🤎❤ 👍🏽
Please tell me your hair routine
@@MaryMensah-mam I have more recent hair videos on my channel you can check out 😊
@ChitaDiaries thank you dearie..
I would have to correct you. You do not have thin hair. You have fine hair, it’s just an abundance of it.
