Btw good for you for supporting these awesome knives and this awesome company.
I’m the same as far as starting with tons of Mora knives but BPS has now seen me through several storms (literally) whole outdoors and having to make a quick shelter. I’m pretty shocked too by how well the steel held up. Was really afraid of rust, but using my Tuff cloth (blade) and Kurobara Japanese oil on the scales and tang (darkens and protects the wood as well as the steel, very good stuff)
Great for supporting them. Last email I got from them was about the shelling going around and how they’ve had to abandon the factory. Trying to buy as much as I can and sure hoping the money get to them.

As for the smooth scales I sanded, stained, and then coated with some spay on polyurethane (clear coat) and then gave a light sanding after so that it wasn't too slick... I have done a few mods to that knife since. So much so that I am planning an update video

@@shawnpepin7890 mild steels are 1013 & 1018 or 0.13 & 0.18 carbon respectively. 0.50 is generally considered the minimum carbon content for any hardening steel.
Lower than 0.50 simply wont harden enough to make tools unless there are significant alloying elements added.

Thanks for the video. I had no idea BPS made this many different knives. I'm only seeing a few on Amazon. The one that looks like the Bushlore is actually a standard bushcraft blade shape. Joe Flowers openly & notoriously brags about plagiarizing the knife designs/intellectual technology of indigenous peoples. White male privileged patriarchal heterodominant power construct from colonization (stealing of indigenous peoples land, natural resources and technologies) makes it no big deal. So, BPS didn't clone a Condor. Condor is cloning the knife designs of indigenous peoples.
You sound fine. You're not supposed to sound like Morgan Freeman who's had millions of dollars worth of public speaking training. This is your private amateur TH-cam channel. After a while you will probably get your own flow. You've got your kids there so you are trying to keep an eye in them and make a video. This is basic common sense that you're not going to sound like Richard Attinburough or however it's spelled. Classism affects everyone. Not just indigenous peoples like myself still branded with the name of the plantation slave masterswho owned my Native American great grandparents as slaves. Classist jerks Crack whips at everyone. Hence the 99%.
