Hi. No I took it off before I reattached the air can. I did put it on a little bit too early and the footage doesn’t show me taking it off before applying force to screw the air can back on. I think you just about see me put the sag ring back on though after I’ve screwed the air can on. Good spot though - cheers.
How much time until the rings are fully set in and zero air is lost. After serving, I can hear air moving. Could be from negative chamber. Put in 150lbs and lost 5 pounds plus after 24h.
Can i do this as a noob? I mean i have a bit of bike building etc. I want to do service on superdeluxe select+ on my trek rail and ultimate on my trek slash. I pay 150 dollar everytime. Its a robbery :(
Great instructions very helpful
Cheers. Glad you found it useful 👍
Great video bud!
well done... same question though... what was the diameter of the pipe you used?
Hi. Sorry, I’ve only just noticed your comment. The pipe I used had an internal diameter of 16mm. I hope that helps.
What diameter pipe did you use to take the mounting hardware off?
Thanks for the great vid!

Did you accidentally include the sag ring inside the air-can when you re-assembled it?

I'm surprised replacing the oil in the small upper chamber is not required for this service. Is that for 200 hour service?

So i see rockshox is 50 hours for the uppers and 200 hours for the lowers is it mandatory to service uppers every 50 hours seems so frequently
