  • If you ever wanted to add a light bar to your grille like a lot of newer vehicles here's how to do it. Basically, I cut notches in the back side if the lower grille slat and I inserted this Colight 1 Inch wide G1 Ultra Light Bar. This this is super bright and the installation is super discrete.

    Its nice to have additional lighting when needed.
    Some states require lighting like this be on a seperate switch that only gets power from the factory supplied low beam circuit this limits excessive lighting while driving on the hidhway to protect blinding on coming traffic.

      Definitely!
      I didn’t know that. I just figured I wanted it on a separate switch.

    Would pop rivets have made installation a little easier than cutting the bolt and messing with it?

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can go that route too. I don’t own a pop rivet tool.

    Stevie! Thanks for another great video. Ima let this marinade in my mind to see if I want to do the same. But I do have a question or advice. I’m going to do the water pump,and a seal refresh on my truck. And was thinking of doing a long road trip after. Of course if all my work is done right. But would love some advice on prepping the truck for a long drive. Or if anyone in the comments would suggest something

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man!🤙 A good seal/gasket replacement job is always a good idea for these old trucks. I’m not sure how long your road trip is going to be. However, I recommend doing a shorter trip day and hour of interstate/highway. If any problems arise, it will happen during that trip.
      Otherwise my prep for a long drive was always the same for these old trucks. Check all fluids and replace as necessary. Take additional fluids if it’s typically for them to get low. So for my truck, that was oil.

      LEDs produce very very little heat, truckers prefer halogen bulbs because the heat keeps the headlights clear of snow if you live in a snowy area look at the headlights on the newer cars you’ll see it
