    Truly awesome presentation. I have been living (existing) with depression for the past four years, working with my doctor to eliminate some or all of my problems. Since incorporating the first 3 of your action items as I refer to them as, every day has gotten a bit better. I hope that you take this presentation a step further and introduce it in primary schools as part of their health and fitness curriculum. The health of our young people’s mind is what is missing in our education system. Bless you!

    The most essential thing in the concept she shared was giving. I feel that giving is a more powerful tool that makes you happy. for instance, if you give something, it may be a tiny thing, but you can be happy forever. Consider, instead of giving, you keep it yourself and used it. It is over. Think about food for instance. If you give to someone who needs indeed, you can be happy whenever you think of the good deed that you did. Instead, you could eat it. You are happy while enjoying it. That's it. After that, the food is no more and it is gone.

    This is a great talk and the acronym is quite handy. I learnt from other sources that time spent enjoying yourself with your favorite hobby / passion, being grateful and being optimistic are few points that could also add to happiness.

    An interesting perspective. Happiness needs to be self-start and not depend on anyone outside.

    Trying to put my finger on what was wrong with this presentation. It was to some extent death by PowerPoint and despite great content, a confident clear and articulate communicator and a great acronym (great dreams) it was like the audience didn’t understand English. Yes, she was taking her mobile phone for an 18 minute walk and did not have any jokes or surprises but it was like she was addressing a Russian coma ward after a liquid lunch. There was no reaction or interaction. She wasn’t monotone or boring, so any ideas out there.

      The topic is engaging, but not her delivery....

  • @vberry2415
    @vberry2415 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The speaker never gives her experience or credentials for explaining why she is an " expert" on happiness. I tried to watch about 5 minutes and she appears to lack confidence, is wearing a wrinkled dress that is not only mildly distracting, but reminds us how important it is to integrate a program of vigorous and happiness producing exercise into our weekly routine.
    She mentions volunteering several times, but I would point out from personal experience that lending our time to children and the community helps cause happiness, not her assumption that you have to be happy to start to engage in volunteering. Her cause and effect is assumptive. Actually, she assumes a lot in her somewhat shaky long speech with very little feedback and tempered energy.
    And her mentioning that being happy can make people vote was kind of odd. With the leftist " drop boxes" funded by almost a half a billion Dollars from fascist book that collect millions of unverified, unfolded and forensically identical " votes" make her theory somewhat irrelevant.
    Her presentation is elementary and somewhat rudimentary. Pretty mediocre.
